The municipal museum is located in a beautiful old palace, the Palatul Sutu. We paid 5 Lei per person to enter. It is a small museum with and old decor. The exhibition is all about the history of Bucharest and we found it very interesting.

No better backdrop could be for the engaging history of the city. The facade of the Sutu Palace is outstanding while the interior, from the elegant staircase onwards, is gorgeous. The inventive Time of the City portrays the city in reverse, beginning with the present....More

Right in the middle of town this little museum gets you a good start to Bucharest’s history. Especially the recent history I found most interesting. Very good English explanation as well.

The large building and architecture are very impressive. As a long building looks better from afar The museum charts the history of the country and the city Did not get much time to look around as it closed earlier than I expected

Museum is located in old historic of Bucharest. Historic and nice ornate decoration, the museum is a timeline of city history through the ages. Some nice exhibits and accompanying photographs make it a very enjoyable and interesting museum to visit. Recommended

This museum was great for giving an overview of the history of the city. The timeline format is easy to follow, and the displays are varied to keep it engaging. The highlight, however, was our conversation with the man at the front desk (unfortunately didn’t...More

A well planned display of the history of Bucharest through time backwards. Events that came from events. The unknown for the future. This is one of the best museums I have been to ... and I've been to a lot!

Sutu Palace is a stunning and suitable home for this fabulous museum which covers Bucharest history from neolithic times through to the current day. The present exhibition takes you back in time (suitably from a starting point under a reflective clock bought by the palace's...More

This museum may have moved to the Old Princeley Court, but the address listed at Trip Advisor is an empty storefront.
