Very good price for entrance €6 each. Very long roads and wide on each side well kept animals. Also there are rooms with species' and large room with parrots, cockatiel and budgies also lovebirds. There are self cleaning toilets which I must say they were really clean. Staff welcomed us and showed us the way.we were first persons to arrive so we felt great on our own with loads of snow among us and snowing too.....it,s a nice place to visit and all it cost for taxi from central Bucharest to zoo was 40 lei around €8.

In all the places where we go we visit the zoo. I'd put that in last place. Located not far from the airport you can reach well only by car. There is not much chance to see the animals because in the heat they are almost all in the dens. They do not organize times when you can see the animals eat. Still clean. The bathrooms are self-cleaning cabins on the paths. To enter two adults and a little girl we spent about 7 euros.

A small zoo, which seems from another time. Badly designed (or badly made). The animals are locked in cages or enclosures surrounded by heavy bars or thick metal nets, which prevent an optimal view. In addition, there are barriers that do not let you approach the enclosures less than 1m. Everything has a sad, abandoned air. Many cages seem empty (perhaps the animals were hiding inside...).
Somewhat more successful are the sections dedicated to reptiles, exotic birds and exotic fish.
Very few visitors, which contributes to the sad air.
At least the entrance ticket is very cheap...
I think the best idea would be to demolish it and build a new one, when the necessary money is available.

The place is beautiful in terms that you are surrounded by trees. It's a green. Relatively nice the zoo. Big negative that cages in some animals were relatively untreated. Especially in animals that get a lot of attention like the lion and the bear. There are benches everywhere, there are taps everywhere to drink water. We paid by card to an automatic machine for tickets. An employee helped us. In general, a good place that is not too big, just enough to spend a little time pleasantly. Outside the zoo, there are cafes and restaurants to drink or eat.

Disgusting "zoo". Should be closed forever.
Animals are sad, most of them are alone. Cages are small, animals are neglected.
There were 5 baby chicken stuck in a tube crying for food, and the staff didn't care
"No No sorry"
They are just waiting for them to die and suction them from there, not willing to damage the fence while rescuing them

This was a horrible place! Do not visit this place, do not waste your time, there are far more better places to visit in bucharest then this place, filled with animal abuse. you made me change my review full of thruths because its not a review of opinion, isnt that what reviews are? Do not visit this place, do not waste your time, this is a place of animal abuse. If you want to see a place that will break your heart from what you see...sure little kids love it, but dont know the difference. Peta Peta Peta...now ive changed my review for you. Stay away from this zoo, their website is false, this is not what you will see.

As per the title, a very interesting visit to the city zoo during my holiday in Bucharest, located in the very northern part of the city, between the two city airports.
Fairly well-kept zoo, with numerous tigers, numerous birds, and various mammals (tigers, leopards, pumas, etc.). The fish arm is not very numerous, just two tanks.

Animals are very close and easy to see. Enclosures a bit small, but animals look happy and in good condition. Jaguar, lions, tigers, lynx, wolves. Good selection. We spent almost 2 hours here. Its a long way out of the city for a small zoo, but definitely worth a visit
Very disappointed in there not being a gift shop ! I love a souvenir.

I went to visit this zoo with my family but we were kind of disappointed, the zoo is pretty average, they don't have an Elephant and overall not so many animals like the other zoo's we visited, I would say it's not a top attraction in the city.

We have visited Bucharest Baneasa Zoo in May. It is the perfect weather this zoo garden and all the gardens in Bucharest, for it is not too hot yet as the summer is about to begin, neither cold like in November and so on. This only problem we had was that all the animals were sleeping. So, if you want to know when to visit the Bucharest Zoo, let's say never do this at about 13 PM. The animals are quite fine, you have a lot of space, you have lions, tigers, exotic birds to see, also camels, crocodiles, snakes. Not to mention that after visiting the Zoo you can have some wee ones or anything else you want to eat and some beer outside the garden, just across the street. A ticket for an adult is 13 RON, which is 3 EUROS.

¿Hay servicio de consigna? Nos interesaría poder dejar las maletas para así, al terminar, ir directos al aeropuerto.
