This club is so cool, it was beyond my expectations. Music is good and the champagne ... awesome. I can't wait to come again.

This place was recommended online and by locals/taxi drivers. Went during the day, the music was pumping from the street, entry was 70 Lei(£11.50) You walk in and your eyes are greeted by beautiful people everywhere, a gorgeous pool surrounded by massive beds/seating cubes with guys and girls sprawled out drinking and tanning while others drink in the pool or dance to the chilled beats the DJ delivers. There are many beautiful girls hired by Player to sexy up the place which no one minds! Drinks are similar to UK prices but that's no problem, this place is great value for the atmosphere.

I was there with three friends and it was very nice. We stayed near the pool and we drank a lot of HUGO and we were delighted with nice music and I was impressed by the lovely guys.

We tried to visit Players tonight. But it was closed!
Seems that it is permanently shut down. So if you plan to go there make a reservation before or call on phone.

As a single traveler I tend to contact the places such as this to see what their advice would be and how they would deal with someone, especially a guy, who will be going out alone. I contacted them on their social media page and got a quick single response from Ms. Elena which was impressive but after that it went down hill. I was ignored after that initial reply despite responding with a few more questions as well as sending a msg over whatsapp.
I got to the club and long and behold ... service was stiff and condescending. They let me in and I was dressed the way I would to attend a respectable dance club but then I noticed most guys were very under-dressed and in very casual attire that made me feel as if I was at your neighborhood pub while the ladies were dressed to impress.
The bartender was really cool and helpful, unlike the ladies at the entrance but for some odd reason the bartender did not have money for change. The cash drawer was empty and despite the fact I was not the first one there, I was one of the first who actually bought a drink. That aside I kept an open mind.
DJ could have been better and I was getting bored especially due to the fact there was no place to dance, but once the show kicked off the night was more lively and interesting. After the staff got off the stage the place went back to being a normal club with no dance floor and boring.
For the tourists, non Romanians, watch out! You go out of your way to reserve a table and get no amenities. The guys in front of me were Romanians and got mixers for their drink for free while the tourists in the table next to them got the bottle but no mixers and were forced to pay. In addition to that, the tourists left early and talked to the staff about leaving the bottle and mixers at the table for a bride to be and her bachelorette party. The ladies were extremely happy until a few minutes later when the same staff member who agreed to leave the drinks on the table for the ladies comes and clears the table upsetting the women.That was my que to leave that night and tell myself that I should still give this place a chance for the pool party. Despite that, I still wanted to give the place a chance so I went back to the ladies at the front to ensure that they knew I was going to attend their pool party the next day. The ladies took my name and told me to come by between 11:00 and 14:00 where I will be given a sun bed.
Next day I show up a little after 1200 (noon) and to my surprise my name was not on the list and I was not given the sunbed that was talked about in the previous night. I was not even offered a towel and had to ask for it after being told that the only place I could sit was at the bar or restaurant. The DJ was the same as the night before and many of the songs that were played were identical to the previous night. If it was not for the pool, the place would have gotten real boring real quick.
Another example of bad employees and horrible service was the fact that even though there were tables available during the night event, as well as the pool party, I was never offered the opportunity to purchase that service, which I thought was weird because I would have thought they would be more than eager to get paid for something that was not being put to good use, and because of that I opted not to pay for the table and the bed even though I was ready to do so if someone asked or offered me the chance to do so.
I came to the conclusion that the place was nicely set up BUT that was all it had going for it other than the cool bartender. The missing dance floor, repeated songs of the same DJ, and lousy attitude of the staff made for a horrible experience. I've been to worse places that had better service, where I had more fun. What a shame this place was so bad!

Player was one of the best places some years ago, but like it goos in the world of bars, rest, clubs etc, if you dont adapt, reniew, invest, you go down. Player was the place to be but now there came an end to a legend. they opend the Face club. not to compare, even for us expats much to expensive for wat it is. a new player in the making...

Got ripped off plus there is NO dancefloor, a whole club is just tables, I get that, have been to places like this, but at the tables you can find ugly, old and rich guys surrounded by not even half, but 80% naked girls working there.
We paid for the table (wasn't cheap), they must have sensed we're foreign because all of the sudden the soft drinks weren't included in the price (what am I supposed to do with a 2l vodka bottle and no chaser?) and THE ENTRANCE was not included in the price of a table! You would expect not to pay extra money (which wasn't a lot, but we had to wait in the line to buy entrance tickets) if you're paying for a table.
Thank God we went there as a group, otherwise, I would leave after 5 seconds.
Also the waiter and the bouncer were super rude, you would expect a smiling and nice one if you're paying for a VIP table.

We went on a Wednestay when all the other clubs where closed.Players club was being advertised as a great club experience. Actually it was a fantastic space, what they didn't say was that the club is full of men clients and women that they were working for the club, keeping you company in return of drinks. There was not a single woman in the whole club that was not working there, is was 100% men, like walking into a strip club..with no stripping! Worse place we have been in Bucharst for a drink!

If you like watching pro-dancers while surrounded by band of local guys then it is the place. Few people dance even if the music is good. Impressive entrance corridor....
