On 11 September 2020 we did a great tour with Laura, who is a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. We really enjoyed the city walk and Laura's company. We are not born in Romania, but have lived in Bucharest for four years, and yet Laura was able to show us things we had never seen. Laura speaks an excellent English, and she knows a lot about Romania, its history and its contemporary development. Romania is a lovely country with a friendly population, which is a prime reason for us to live here. Laura is a great ambassador for what we like about our new home country.

We had spent a whole evening together with Laura who was our guide for more than 3 hours this week Although most of us were born in Bucharest or know quite well this place, still Laura was able to surprise us with her stories about the old buildings or the personalities who crossed this town in the past. From the beginning I realized that Laura is a fine connoisseur of a lost world and its art and beauty. I recommend her warmly as a good ambassador of Romanian culture and history, a tour with her will improve your knowledge and understanding of this country.

I had a tailored tour of Romanian Orthodox churches and monasteries in central Bucharest. Also great recommendations for authentic Romanian food and ongoing support — like reminding where a favorite shop was located! Highly recommend Laura for whatever your needs are. She knows Bucharest, the history, and the culture. And she is passionate about the areas of interest in the city. Speaks fluent English and German. I had a great experience.

I enjoyed the tour very much. I have been living in Bucharest almost all my life and still hadn't seen the houses/places that Laura showed us. Working with Laura to organize the tour was a very pleasant experience. She is very professional and serious, but at the same time flexible and client-oriented. She organized a tour that would suit the needs of our group. She is very well informed and does a lot of accurate research in advance.

What was originally a group tour turned into a private tour with just us and Laura; rain scared the others off. Happily, the rain stopped just as the tour began. She regaled us with interesting stories while showing us some local sights and took us to three different restaurants for some fine food and drink. We had a most excellent time.

We did a tour with Laura on our first morning in Bucharest. She was excellent (very good English) at explaining how Bucharest became the capital city and a potted summary of it's history while looking at some photographs in Sutu Palace. On our walk she showed us some interesting churches and other sites. Over a cup of coffee she gave us many top tips as to where else to visit, eat and drink. Highly recommended!

I am a tour operator for small groups and chose Step by Step for our Bucharest guide. Laura was great, giving my group a local perspective and insight into her city and country. She was friendly, flexible, easy to work with, and responsive to messages, all of which are appreciated and impressive in a country where tourism is growing rapidly. I plan to work with her again next year.

Bucharest Step by Step ... This historical/food tour was one of the highlights of our time spent in Romania. Our guide, Laura, was personable and knowledgeable, and we appreciated her sharing her experiences of life in Romania through the past few decades. She has a great knowledge and appreciation for architecture. The food and drinks were authentic and plentiful, no one left hungry. The highlight, however, was meeting Laura and learning about Bucharest from the perspective of someone who has lived through many challenges and changes in this gorgeous city.

We thoroughly enjoyed Laura's "Bite's and Highlights" of Bucharest. She gave us an unvarnished look into the good and the not-so-good of the city, while treating us to some local cuisine on this walking tour. It's clear she loves to talk about the architecture of the city. Her pride in her city shone through.

Walking tour of old town Bucharest really filled in the blanks for me, as someone who had little exposure to history of the region. I can't say enough good things about guide Laura. As we got to know each other, she took me to local galleries and antique shops where we shared our love of art. Lighting candles for loved ones at a small orthodox church was another way this tour became very personal and special.
