So, we've been to another show at Sala Palatului, this being our 3rd, and is one of the old BIG and nice buildings that endured from the communism era. Besides some renovations neede here and there the most shocking thing is and TAKE NOTICE is the fact that the inside stores take ONLY cash. No card or phone payments. Fortunately, there was one guy at the shop that knew how to use Revolut transfers. Basically, you can't even get a small water unless you come prepared like it's the 19th century. Otherwise, nice events all year-round.

The place is located in the center of Bucharest, close to the Victory Square
It was build in the 60's for the congresses of communist time, now here are organized many concerts and cultural events.
The capacity is more then 4.000 people.

The venue is vast - a typical communist building built to impress, acres of marble and some nice contemporary art work. There are plenty of toilets , small shops selling food and drinks and places to sit before the shows start and during the interval.
The auditorium is vast and seats 4000+ people , the first concert we went to see was Bonnie Tyler ( she was amazing ) where we had seats in one of the boxes on the top level - great view of the stage and old but comfortable seats . For the second concert ( The Life of Edith Piaf also amazing ) - we had seats in the main area on the ground floor again great views of the stage.
The venue was only 10 minutes walk from our hotel and would highly recommend a visit . the audience were not afraid to stand up , sing along , take photos and videos and enjoy themselves unlike Theatres in the UK.

Though I have been living in Bucharest all my life, I have only visited Sala Palatului recently. There's a mixture between the the palace's marble and golden stuff, red old velvet and new techology. Doesn't feel like a modern concert hall, doesn't feel like an opera hall either. Good sound system, bad light system. What I did like was the nice space between the row chairs. There was enough space so as not to make others get up to let you pass.

I was to Sala Palatului to many times. They had the best shows ever. I was to Vienna Waltzing Winter gala and a macedonian show. It was wonderfull, full hall and good music.
But, it's necessary to renovation the build, it looks like old and insecure to enter there.

great show but tired venue, with vey poor sound quality: we were so excited to see the show, but some of the songs wording were impossible to discern due to very poor sound system

I's a nice location for modern concerts in Bucharest. The sound engineers need to do their best as the building was originally built to have the sound of the public go to the stage where Ceausescu was holding his speeches.
The legroom is acceptable and the lavatories are clean.

This event room is located in the center of the city, this is an advantage if we think of important events. In the area there are large hotels that can accommodate those coming from other cities. It is an old building requiring repairs, the furniture is worn out, and the utilities: the sound is bad, the old lights. Unfortunately, inexplicable renovation is delayed.
