Me as a Bucharest inhabitant I really love to take walks in the museum that is in fact a park with beautiful old village houses near the lake. The atmosphere many times is enriched by folklore festivals with music, traditional hand made objects and food.

An amazing park to which old cottages and houses from all over the country have been transported and re-erected. Very impressive architecture and always nice walking in a park.

Great idea to put all the different original house styles in one location. Layout is a tad confusing and can easily miss some, not very buggy friendly at times. My suggestion would have been to have them laid out in chronological order so you can...More

Really impressed with the village museum. Each house is different to previous one. Just go and see for yourself.

Interesting history and architecture of varied locations in Romania. Local craftspeople sell some of their wares: beautifully decorated pottery, carved wood, fibers. The restaurants on site are very nice.

The museum is built from old, original village houses brought from all parts of Romania. It is beautiful and very interesting . On our weeken visit there was also a handicraft market with original handmade things to make this visit even more unique.

We really enjoyed our visit today. Gorgeous houses packed with history. Unfortunately it was all destroyed after we stopped to eat at the restaurant. The chips were frozen, meat undercooked and then served over cooked and full of hard fat. I actually fed it to...More

Great way to learn about the history of Romania and its' people! Walking around the exhibits and being able to enter into some of them made it very interesting. They also have outdoor shows of the local folklore.

We spent an hour or two walking around this open air "museum". It is very attractive, has shops and restaurants, and easily walked. You get to see lots of people, birds, and vegetation during a short OR long walk.
