If you want a small piece of the entire country, spend a few hours in this open air museum. The actual rural houses displayed and few replicas will transport you into rural Romania and its differences across the regions. The price is reasonable but bring some water and snacks -when we were there the bar was closed. So- if you... More

The park was great, there were many traditional houses with different style and architecture. You can go inside the houses. There isn't very much to see inside the houses, like no furniture, but the overall inside style is very beautiful and mesmerizing to experience. There are many traditional women and men inside, selling souvenirs, but a bit expensive. There are... More

This is a neat concept but I probably would have learned and appreciated more if I used a guide. One adult ticket is 10lei and then you walk around, read some house information, peak in through the front door and walk on. There are plenty of benches in shade to take a walking rest. My favorite were the churches, amazing... More

If you have no time to travel throughout the beautiful Romania, just visit Muzeul Satului and see representations of the Romanian village life there. Take a couple of hours. Make sure it is not raining on the day of your visit.

In the heart of Bucharest you can find this unique museum. Here you can see different houses from different eras and periods. Also you can attend open traditional workshops. There is also beautiful lake at the middle of the park.
