On a sunny day this is a lovely place to stroll around and get a glimpse of the history of Romania and its people. The area is really well maintained and the houses and churches are beautiful. It would be nice to be able to see into more of them. when we visited most of them were locked and all... More

Great idea to preserve the culture and homes of rural Romania. A lot of foresight went into establishing this museum. Signs were also in English. Lovely walk to this museum by way of the neighborhood that house most embassies. Lots of green space along the way. Easy to find.

We spent hour here in the sunshine and could've spent longer! Gives you such a taste of Romanian life and history whilst being fun and outdoors. It's delightful in the sunshine, and the inn which serves lunch is fantastic!

We really enjoyed our time in the village museum. We spent a couple of hours walking around and looking at all the different houses and buildings. There are several small playgrounds at different spots within the museum for the kids. There also is a souvenir shop and some small stands inside selling items as well. If you need cash there... If you are planing a city break in Bucharest, then the Village Museum is a must see. Next to Herastrau Park, this place can help you make an idea about the life at the countryside and the different types of rural architecture. Beautiful and special houses and churches.

I had a guide who took me to village museum which was excellent as he explained the different regions the houses came from how they were built. Got to go inside nearly all the houses & to see how they use to live very interesting visit. They also had hand craft stalls selling local produce & art well worth paying... More

I really want to give this place 5 stars because of the dual Romanian/English language placards outside each structure allowing full understanding of the houses. Also the walk throughout the "village" was pleasant in the gloriously sunny and mild day today. And it's a CHEAP 10 lei to enter. And the setting on the lake is just lovely. But I... More

I really enjoyed this tour and found it informative as it showed several different kind of houses that Romanians live in or have lived in. Unfortunately, I felt rushed through the tour as we had to stay on schedule to meet our cruise. I would have loved to linger.
