Founded in Bucharest 2009, Societe Gourmet offers cooking classes and gourmet events. All classes and team-cooking events are held in English by our German Chef Daniel Wendorf. Cooking classes can be booked individually or we can organise, upon request, private classes for groups. Class themes are always changing and are based on a strong general belief: teaching fundamental techniques, using quality ingredients that are seasonal and local, practicing creative cooking. Societe Gourmet's home in Bucharest is an old neoromanian style house, designed and equipped for indoor and outdoor gourmet entertainment. Sometimes we take our clients on gourmet weekends in Transylvania, go truffle hunting and enjoy a truffle cooking class. " Cooking is interaction, no matter from where you see it. We love our job and believe that every class, every event we set up needs to be a memorable experience! Yours sincerely, Raluca Ichim and Chef Daniel Wendorf"

If you take cooking classes when you travel, you know that classes aimed at tourists are usually designed to introduce regional cuisine to foreigners, not really to challenge someone who can already cook. Not so with Societe Gourmet! These classes--held in a gorgeous, chic setting--will...More
