Absolutely wonderful experience from Bianca and Daniela

I joined the Old Town and Communism tours which were hosted by Bianca and Daniela respectively.They were both highly professional and knowledgeable. Both of them had a superb command of the English language that impressed a native speaker like me. Also,they actually knew what they were talking about, unlike some of the tours guides on the tours I've been on.

I have to especially commend Daniela for making the tour extra special by sharing tidbits into her personal life/life in Romania. This gave use valuable insights into Romanian life, attitudes, and outlooks. Although this was strictly speaking not necessary as part of the tour, her personal touch resulted in a more authentic experience. One rarely gets to be on a tour hosted by a former European Court of Human Rights clerk. The fact that she left all that prestige behind to become a tour guide is testament to her passion and love for sharing her beautiful city to foreigners.

All in all, my experience for both tours has been wonderful. Keep up the exceptional standards!

Amazing free walking tour of old town and beyond

We were able to extend our tour and see both the old town and undestand more about the Communist past of Romania. The tour had great sights and explanantions and something everyone would enjoy. Constantin was a great guide, very knowledgable and offered a lot of personal connections to the city and his personal/ family past which added even more insights.

Passionate Guides = Wonderful Tour

My husband and I are so happy we did this tour, and felt it was an essential part of our wonderful visit to Bucharest. Adela and Michael were engaging and knowledgeable, sharing a variety of important information about the city - everything from ancient history to culinary staples. The tour really enriched our time in Romania and grew our appreciation for this fascinating place.

Great way to get to know the city

We did both the Old Town and Communism vs Monarchy tours.
Stefania (old town tour) was great, provided a wide overlook of all things Bucharest with a few suggestions for food and drink.
Maria (communism vs monarchy tour) was also wonderful and managed a big group really well.
Both guides brought their stories to life with humour, anecdotes and plenty of personality.

Incredible tours! Bucharest in a day!!

I had 1 day to see Bucharest! I began my day with the Old Town Legends and Stories free walking tour with Maria! She was excellent! Through her I learned about the architecture, about the gory history of Dracula, and about the city! I saw famous landmarks and churches and heard about where to visit, what to eat, and what not to eat!

I ended my day with the Communism vs. Monarchy free walking tour with John. This was the perfect way to end my day here! I learned all about the history of Communism and Monarchy, went to important monuments, and sights of the events. John was the perfect guide for this tour because he told personal stories from his experiences through this time and what his parents went through. He even told some jokes along the way!

They both were a great pace, and extremely informative! I feel I really maximized my time here through both walking tours and highly recommend!! :)

An amazing Communism versus Monarchy Walking Tour

An absolutely amazing walking tour with Stefania. She was very friendly, very well prepared and organized and could provide a lot of useful and interesting information. We didn´t even notice when those 2,5 hours were gone. I highly recommend this tour.

Bucharest Old Town Free Walking Tour

We (two couples) were the only people to reach the meeting point - because it was March and because Corona was beginning to shut things down in Bucharest. Despite this, Constantin gave us a wonderful, full tour, as if were were a group of 30.

The tour was very interesting, combining historical detail with bits of local legends and anecdotes. We enjoyed it greatly, and Constantin seemed to be enjoying himself, too.

Highly recommended.

A must do in Bucharest

I joined the communism vs. monarchy walking tour with Stefan. Amazing how he kept a constant uplifting energy, talking not only about the history of Romania and Bucharest but also bringing anecdotes from his personal journey. Didn’t see the 2h30 pass, very interesting!

Great intro to Bucharest

We did two tours in one day. Now we know Bucharest. The morning old city tour by Stefan was excellent while the 5pm Communism vs Monarchy tour by Bianca covered rather more km and interest recent politics and history.
