Yesterday we did the trip to Transylvania to visit Pele’s and Dracula’s castles with Horia Siboie.
We could not of asked for a better guide, he was incredibly friendly and from the moment that he picked us up, he instantly made us feel at ease.
His historical knowledge was incredible, it was like having your own historian in the car. Whilst we were on the Journey to Pele’s Castle we learnt so much about Romania’s history and it’s interesting and dramatic relationships with surrounding countries.
Having such a knowledgeable guide made the visit to the castles much more interesting because we learnt and understood far more about the royal family that inhabited them.
He was a great, safe driver and we throughly recommend booking with the company if you want to visit and learn about a very interesting part of Romania’s history. Also his English was brilliant 🤩.
Thanks for a great trip.

Lucia our guide was amazing. Great knowledge, safe and considerate.
It was a great way on our first day to get our bearings and learn about the city’s history, culture and landmarks.
There were 5 of us plus Lucia. We went at a sensible pace. Lucia is great with people, eloquently explaining things and enjoyed answering our questions.
The bikes are in a great place if you’re staying in the old town as we were. Many other bike tours are some way out of the historic area.
I would thoroughly recommend this trip, it was fantastic.

Thank you Alex! I knew that I had chosen the right tour when I arrived at the designated spot and Alex said, I think that the bike is to big .....he immediately went back to his shop and found a smaller bike. The tour was fun, educational and very interesting. Alex explained the history of Old Bucharest and added interesting tidbits of "personal" stories as well. I would highly recommend this tour. The four hours went by very fast and the pace set was good.

Amazing:) The tour was really fun and I learned about countless historical sites and restaurants that I wouldn’t have been able to find on my own. The monasteries we saw were beautiful! Also, the tour guide was very funny and considerate. I’m not the fastest biker and he would always wait. Inclusively he gave a Romanian chocolate as a surprise treat:)

We had a great time at this tour and it was a really convenient way to see 2 lovely castles in Romania: Peles Castle and Bran Castle. As a bonus, we also got to spend time in the city of Brasov, which was very nice too. The guide, Alex, coordinated things very well, he showed up on time, and was very flexible and helpful. The car was comfortable and the drive was very nice. The castles are both impressive in their own way, you'll enjoy seeing them both.

Tips:
- Make sure you guys leave Bucharest early so you can be among the first to line up in Peles Castle as the castle staff don't have a very efficient entry process and the queue can get quite chaotic and long. Alex made sure we got there early and it really helped.
- Also in Peles Castle, stay close to the castle tour guide if you can. The groups they let in are quite large and if you're stuck in the back you'll hardly hear. And, they don't let you in with big backpacks but castle staff have a place where you can store your bag.
- Alex will mention this to you in Peles Castle, but don't forget to pay the "photo tax" if you're bringing a "big" camera and wear the receipt in a visible place, so that castle staff don't scold you about taking photos.
- Bring snacks to eat in the car if you tend to get hungry, as the distances are long and the traffic can get backed up at times.

We made a good decision picking this tour and recommend it.

We did the 2h Bucharest Highlights tour, which was a real pleasure. This was thanks to the knowledgable and generally awesome guide Razwan (sorry for probably butchering the name) and to the high-quality bikes. The guide gave us the option to adjust the sights according to our preferences, which was also great. Best way to get a good overview of Bucharest, its culture and its history. Would definitely recommend!

We live in a city where we bike everywhere so being able to rent bikes in Bucharest was the perfect way to explore the town. From what we learned you have to go pretty far to rent bikes, but when we stumbled upon Bike The City right in Old Town it was a good surprise. We started off with the free tour with Alex since we rented the bikes for a day...Alex to our surprise is like Wikipedia, he knows a lot about a lot! Not just Bucharest. So then we decided to have him join us for a whole day tour. As people who love to travel and learn about history, it was a special opportunity to learn about Bucharest from a local... It was like biking around with a friend. We saw so much more with him including where the gypsies live and eating the best Romanian sausages! We later learned Alex majored in Political Science which explained his passion for history. For us, this experience made our trip to Bucharest memorable! We will not regret doing the full day your with Alex!

Had a lovely half day cycling tour round some little known sights and some of the more popular ones. Our guide was well informed and gave us a good grounding for getting round the city. Not too strenuous as Bucharest is mostly flat would recommend for anyone wanting to familarise themsleves with the city.
