The memorial and eternal flame overseen by military guard are the centrepieces of this garden of contemplation and cemetery. The main piece is constructed in red iron and is a big, robust and yet simple structure commemorating Moldovan soldiers who sacrificed their lives in WW2.
On our trip to Moldova, we stopped at the Victory Memorial and Eternal Flame. The Memorial is massive in scale and a great Soviet-style reminder of the sacrifices given by the soldiers to achieve a victory. Nothing is written in English.

Impressive due to both scale (a good example of Sovietic style) and the meaning of the various items present there. There is nothing in English there (only Romanian and Russian) but, still, the sadnesses and the solemnity of the place can be easily perceived.
