The Eternity Memorial Chisinau is a memorial located in Chișinău, Moldova capital. The memorial is located along Marshal Malinovsky Street. It is dedicated to Soviet soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War. The monument was made on 1975 in honour of the Soviet soldiers. The central part of the memorial is a pyramid of five meter tall stone rifles. A 5-pointed star with an eternal flame in the center of the monument.

I went to the location shown on Tripadvisor and couldn't find a war memorial ... Once I was back on wifi, I found it on google maps in a slightly different location !
Strada Pantelimon Halippa 5, Chișinău 2009, Moldova
I arrived quite late - so the soldiers guarding it had gone home - just some security lads walking around. The park was full of families enjoying the evening - riding bikes, kicking footballs around.
A lovely place to visit.

A wonderful expanse of ground is dedicated here in Chișinău to those who gave their lives during World War II. The Eternal Flame burns symbolically and the large red and pink coloured structure - resembling five 25m high rifles - stands proudly at the centre of this park. It is free admission to the Victory Memorial and very poignant with other monuments and carvings to be seen throughout.

I walked around most ofd the central sites in one morning, including this memorialk park. Decent monument and some statues, if you've got time, it's not amazing.

As a former soldier, I grieve for any soldier who has given his or her life. This is a memorial for those who died in the war. May God end all wars.

The memorial is located in a cemetery that is well known. The place is well maintained. I strongly recommend going by it even if it's by car.

Misery... So much space for praising an occupation army. Poor soldiers staying for hours not moving.

Worth a visit in a city with very few attractions. Also visit the nearby military cemetery. Recommend

This Memorial is a circle of five red, uncompromising, abstract pillars thrusts skyward, representing the five years of Moldovan involvement in World War II. It is a stark and somber Soviet-era memorial of open spaces delineated by hard marble, the memorial honors those fallen in battle. The eternal flame burns for the unknown soldiers of World War II, and also for those killed in the 1992 War of Transnistria. Walk among the dark graves of the fallen, watched over by the imposing, sculpted murals of soldiers above, and examine the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

We had seen this memorial on television and wanted to see it for ourselves. It is a bit of a walk from the centre, but it is well worth the walk. Set in a tranquil park, it's a peaceful and moving memorial to the heroes who fought for freedom and the victims of Civil War. A sobering end to our holiday, but really pleased we visited. Try and make the time to walk here if you're in Chisinau.
