It was very nice to see the magnolias which you can’t confuse with the sacura . The lakes are nice and the trees have juice in them. There are lots of little red bugs to watch. They also have weeping willows which are famous in Moldova and they like the water. There are blue pin s which are famous in Moldova and not found in many other places (maybe some in Bulgaria). In summer it is better probably. There is a coffee shop outside the gates. There is street parking near the gates.

The Botanical Gardens are at the edge of Kishinev on the airport side (taxi: 40 MDL from the centre, about €2). (Watch out for the inscrutable, invisible traffic lights and speed cameras:) Bring good walking shoes. This is larger than Hyde Park.

A lot of fallen trees, still not cleaned up; rather a wild neglected beauty - a nice change from the city.

Entrance fee at time of writing is 5MDL (€0.27/$0.37) ... a nothing)

This place is for those who are looking for a walk in a park. Comparing to other parks in Chisinau, the Botanical Garden is not so crowded due to the entrance fee.

There are indicators with plants' species and their provenience.

The nature is very beautiful.

This is not a botanical garden as I would have expected. However this is a lovely open space to wander in on the edge of Chisinau. There is a central lake and different open, wooded, planted areas to explore. however the place looks generally tired and looks as if there is a lack of investment in it. There are workers around doing their best to maintain it but I fear that if the level of maintenance continues they are fighting a loosing battle.
We were staying close by so great morning walking around this vast area. However if I'd have travelled out from the centre to visit this I fear I would have been disappointed.

This is not easy to get to. We paid a tax to get in, got no tickets. Once inside, on the right there is the area which they take care of, which is fine. The rest has bad pathways, broken trees and unhealthy ones. No hand map, no signs for orientation, no signs for plants. We could not find a toilet. It's really bad for a garden, average for a park in the outskirts.

This is a nice place for a walk, but only come here during the day.
At night the Vodka drunken Russian thugs hang out here which means bad problems for tourist .
Lacals tell me there scared of this park after dark.
For a foriegn single man who takes a wrong turn into the park after dark he could end up being a gang of Russian drunks girlfriend very fast.

In a botanical garden I'd expect tables with trees names, origin maybe. This is more of a park. You can rent some picnic sheds, get married, go jogging. But no matter what, do not go swimming. There are some being brave fishermen, but the lake does not seem clean. Familiar with Bubbly creek in Chicago? You can catch same bubbles here, just not as many.
In general, this park is missing some serious funds and love. But still, if you have few hours to kill, while on the way to the airplane, do stop here. It's on the way anyway.

These Gardens are very beautiful and well kept. I recommend it to garden lovers or anyone who enjoys a quiet, peaceful moment in time to simply sit and enjoy the beauty of Gods Work!

This is a park -- just a park. If you don't go expecting it to be a botanical garden, then I guess you won't be disappointed. I did find a place with lots of species of flowers and plants, but it was roped off and had signs indicating you were not permitted to wander in. The park has a fairly nice rose garden, and there are lots of paths throughout the park, but overall it is not well cared for. It was disappointing.

Though a bit uncared for, the Botanical Garden is a good place for walking and enjoying the nature. Particularly, this place is worth visiting when lilac is in blossom (usually in the beginning of May).
