Great hiking with marko! Our family of 7 people (parents + kids ages 11-29) were hiking with marko, our guide in Croatia for 12 days On October 2019. We highly recommend him, not only as a wonderfull tour guide, but also for being a warm and caring person that loves his job and treking and for making all the precise arrangements he did for us. Marko took us in his comfortable van to hike all over croatia, hiking aprox. 15 km per day, showing us beautiful variety of places, treking trails and astonishing views (as showed at the attached photos...) and took care for all of our needs including restaurants, accomodations etc. Never the less, he updated the original plan as required acording to our needs and wheather conditions. Marko verified all the time a few steps ahead, so that the tour could be preformed as planned. We were lucky that Nuri, Marko's beautiful labrador, joined us - of course, after asking for our permision - and it was love from first site, for all of us. So, if you plan to tour in croatia, Marko is the perfect choice for you and he will do his best in order to make your vacation be just perfect!!

Our group of 9 friends from different countries just returned from the most incredible fun vacation experience to Croatia with @activetours. Every little detail was carefully and thoughtfully planned and managed by Marko. The sights, scenery, hidden gems for food places, transportation, attention and consideration for people’s needs ( motion sickness or gluten intolerance or beverage choices 😆), even arranged surprise appearance of an additional member of our group - all was seamlessly taken care of. We could not ask for a better more knowledgeable guide and travel companion. Thank you, Marko, for showing us the beauty of your country and tolerating our car-singing! We would recommend your company for anyone looking to explore Croatia. .. Irene and friends. September 2019

If there was a competition for world's best tour guide, Marko Vlahov of Active Tours would take the prize hands down! Marko guided my wife and myself on a two-week tour of Croatia during September 2019. He made this tour the most memorable vacation of our lives

My family of 4 took a private tour with Active Tour in June 2019 and we had a fantastic trip. Marko planned a thoughtful perfect itinerary for our 7 days tour. Vanja, our tour guide, was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, flexible and a good story teller. He was able to learn our preferences and adjust and adapt the daily programmes to our needs. All his food recommendations were excellent, in particular, a home-cooked Peka-style lunch in Bosnia-Herzegovina arranged by him. Thanks to him we had a wonderful time in Croatia.

The lakes are absolutely stunning, and our guide for that part, Ivan, was top notch - super friendly, very approachable, keen to tell us all about the geology of the lakes and about Croatia more generally. The Zip Line was good fun. Possibly not the kind of thing I’d rush to do again, but a good experience. The biggest negative for me was the driving - our driver drove incredibly aggressively, far too fast (160km/h in a minibus on a motorway!), some very questionable overtaking and used his phone when driving frequently. I’m afraid this made me feel quite unsafe, not to mention carsick. Additionally, we drove just with the radio, with no particular commentary or guiding. It seemed like a real missed opportunity to learn more about the places we were visiting. In terms of value for money, it felt like rather a lot of money (€600 between 4 of us), especially in the context of prices for other things in Croatia. I’d recommend going to the lakes 100% (and, even better, spending a few days there), but I’d consider looking into alternative ways of doing it.
