I have done a few of these tours all over the world, and they have always been excellent. And this one, with Luca as our guide, was not different. With great knowledge of a city, which comes from being native to it, Luca guided us through the old part of the city and told us about its history.

If you are staying in this city for even a few days, I would highly recommend taking this tour. In 2 hours of walking, you learn more about Zagreb than the Internet can provide.

I immediately signed up for the War Tour this afternoon.

Quick visit to discover all the Zagreb's "must see"s, threaded with historic context and enriching information. Best way to kick off a city stay, especially for first timers. Our guide Luka was a great and entertaining speaker, communicating with a perfect English, resulting in a "time flies" experience.

Excellent ! Landed in Zagreb at noon, got on the tour at 17h00. Our guide Diana was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This tour is a great intro to Zagreb's city centre, and you'll want to undertake the same itinerary the next day in more depth. Highly recommended.

IVANA, our tour guide was full of interesting stories and facts about Zagreb. When I go on tours I usually disconnect very quickly from guides but she kept the tour very engaging and couldn't wait for the next story. Highly recommended. If you do this tour, the you get a discount on the communism and war tour which also recommend. DORIS, our guide on this tour was very knowledgeable and told us about the history in very objective way.we did the tours with free spirit company.

Had a fantastic time on this free walking tour. Highly recommend. Our guide Vid was SUPERB - knowledgeable, funny, attentive to group needs, passionate about the city and incredibly helpful. Walk is two hours but very easy to do. A great way to see the highlights of the city and learn a bit of the history. Totally loved and Vid you rock!!!! Totally exceeded my expectations.

Wonderful, enthusiastic young woman gave a wonderful walking tour in Zagreb. She was a delight. Important to go early in your visit so you can return to some of the museums or other sites for a longer visit later.

Our guide, Luca, walked us through the city explaining historical facts, legends and fun facts with irony. I really enjoyed the tour, I learnt a lot, he is really prepared and was never boring. I strongly recommend the tour!

Heard about this 'free' tour by chance by another solo traveller who I met by chance the previous day.

Our guide was Vid, a young guy full of enthusiasm and knowledge about Zagreb and Croatia. He led us through the streets of the main part of the city, stopping to show points of interest and perfectly timed to the top of the hill where a cannon shot out of the tower and damn near gave me a heart attack.

Lots of walking, and lots of stairs... so be warned. After the tour, Vid was nice enough to point out some possible shops for me to pick up some fountain pen ink as well.

It truly is 'pay what you want' and Vid won't shame you into paying any certain amount. He politely shielded his eyes as he held out a money pouch for people to put in (or not) what they pleased.

Very worthwhile; both my friend and I were very happy with it.

I did the free tour on 31th of January. Our guide was Doris. Although almost everything is in restoration, she did a very good job, explained everything with passion and gave us a very extended background from the city. I really recommend it.
