Travelling during Covid times usually means many attractions are closed but luckily for us Croatia is still relatively open and thankfully the walking tours are still happening!

We’ve just finished our tour (8/11/20) around the city. Luka was our guide and gave us a great tour. He was very informative, light hearted and tells the history and legends of the city brilliantly.

If you’re around the city 100% do this tour. It’ll give you a great idea of what’s going on, a little history and just a fun way to know the do’s and don’ts of Zagreb.

Fantastic 2 hours spent learning about Zagreb. The free walking tour was run by Luka. He took the group of about 20-25 people through parts of upper and lower old town at a very reasonable pace. Along the way he explained the origins of the town of Zagreb and added his own brand of humor into the stories. Great way to spend a few hours and get some history in the process, and for free no less! Had I been in Zagreb longer I would have gone on the war tour as well. If you've got the time Zagreb, do yourself a favor and sign up for this tour, you won't be sorry.

Despite the rain with snow on Sat. April 1, our guide Vid gave an outstanding performance, combining the contents (what to show, adjusting what is worth for foreign group, clear indication what we see), excellent technique (giving clear order to the group, mentioning how many stops we have on route, where we end the tour, then voice management - raising it - to point out, not moving much the head once having a big group, then time management (he programmed to be at 11 am near the Tower which blasts every day, interaction with the group, etc. I appreciate also his personal qualities-to be nice, polite, funny, to give his umbrella to one of us since he was soaking wet. And at the end a lot of indications what else to see, where to change money, etc. I think I know how much effort takes to become a good one, I work as a guide in other country. My deep appreciation to Vid. Jozef Steis

Luka was a really fun and relaxed tour guide, who gave us a great insight into Zagreb. We tour lasted around 2 hours and covered all important spots. Luka spoke perfect English and was able to get the perfect level of detail regarding the info.

Did the free walking tour with Kristina. We've done a lot of free city tours and she was one of the best guides we've had, because she told stories that made the history of the city interesting and engaging. Some guides are knowledgeable, but not good storytellers. She was wonderful!

We did the free Zagreb walking tour. First tour that we took at the beginning of the holiday, it was disrupted by a really heavy rain. We were soaking wet but our awesome guide asked us if we wanted to go on with the tour and about 10 of us did. She was really funny and was able to turn a potentially awful situation in a funny moment. Nevertheless she went on with her stories and facts about the city and she was very informative as well. Recommended as a really nice way to get an "introduction" to a new city.

I thoroughly enjoyed Kristine and her depth of knowledge about her great home town, Zagreb. She took extra care to answer all questions and kept the pace comfortable and moving forward. The unique beauty of Zagreb is not immediately apparent, but after the tour I was motivated to follow up on Kristine’s suggestions and came upon the energy and warmth and openness of the city. The young people are a delight. The city building on its past is a delight. Thank you, Kristine and Free Spirit Walking Tours for a perfect introduction to Zagreb!

The Free Spirit Tour Zagreb (2hours) we had was fun and informative. Kristina was knowledgeable with the history and surroundings of Zagreb given that she lived there since a little girl. She made the tour really fun by cracking some jokes along the way and she was rather animated. I highly Recommend taking the tour with Kristina and I am sure you will have a lasting impression of Zagreb.

Luka was our tour guide on 6/16, and he was amazing! He showed our group all the main areas of the city and told lots of fun anecdotes about the city's history. Also, the day we went on the tour it was really hot, and he found shade at every site we stopped at (thank you!!). He gave us great food recommendations for lunch and dinner. Would definitely recommend - thank you, Luka!

Outstanding walking tour of the Old Town and Kapitol areas. Luka was an amazing guide: super knowledgeable and very entertaining. I learned lots of interesting things about Zagreb during the tour and would highly recommend taking the tour. I would suggest taking the tour as soon as you get to Zagreb because it gives an excellent overview of the city and highlights the important locations.
