Nice Driver. If you are expecting more than a comfortable taxi ride, you will be disappointed. This was not a tour.

Highly recommend this trip. Our driver, Darko was special. Friendly and pleasant to chat with...and he took us to a great place for lunch. After Darko picked us up at our hotel in Zagreb, we headed for Slovenia. The only semi hassle was that the line at border control took a while, so plan a little extra time. We left at 8:00 for our 11:30 tickets at Postojama Cave. The Cave is fascinating, but beware it's cold in there, so bring an extra layer. There's an electric train that takes you part way and then you walk and stop at various points to listen to the audio guide which is quite informative. The next stop was the Predjama Castle. In a picturesque setting, this castle (really a fortress) was also interesting and worth seeing. And then it was on to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It's a sweet town, with a river running through it, and 3 bridges crossing it near the main square. Lots of cafes, bars and gelato as well as plenty of shops for a bit of retail therapy. (Unfortunately most shops were closed as it was Sunday evening.) We enjoyed our trip and truly appreciated Darko's insights and careful driving. It was a special day.

While staying in Zagreb we took a day trip to Ljubljana and Lake Bled in Slovenia with Wanderer Traveler. The service rendered was very good; on time pick up at hotel. Our driver Vale was very helpful and accommodating by understanding the needs of the small group of 6; even though he was not an official guide he gave us very good recommendations to take advantage of our day as well as the sites he drove us to see. It was a very nice way of adding one more country visited to our list.

We were very happy that we were able to do a tour to the plitvice lakes in corona times. The company offered us a private tour (for a slightly higher price), and the driver, Darko, picked us up at our hotel. Darko is a wonderful guide, thanks to his knowledge about the country, which extends to culture, history and even philosophy. We enjoyed interesting conversations with him in the car. When we had seen the plitvice park, we only had to call him and he picked us up again within 5 minutes!
