The place to start your sight seeing in Zagreb and finish at the main cathedral. The square is nice, you will know it once you see the man on the horse aiming his sword forward. The plaza got many local vendors selling interesting stuff . It shouldn't take you more than 15 minutes before you get bored and start looking... More

The main square in the town was overcrowded week before Easter. A lot of small shops where you could buy food surrounded monument to Ban Jelačić. From this place you can easy find top atractions of Zagreb. On the right is cathedral, parallel is Tkalčićeva Street, on the left you can go in shopping area and up to the hill... More

Jelačić square is still the heart of Zagreb. It is less vivid for Easter but still place with special atmosphere. Some ladies are selling flowers. All visitors try to take some pictures near a white rabbit or near the chicken. You can buy a souvenir or two and drink a coffee at the nearest bar.

Jelacic Square is a large downtown square in Zagreb, surrounded by multi-storied buildings with screens flashing the latest advertisements. Several tram lines run through the square, with crowds of people boarding and getting off the blue tram cars. It's a great place to people watch and begin a walk around the adjacent old town. The square takes its name from... More

This is the main downtown square in Zagreb. Trams run right here, and the square is adjacent to the historic Upper Town. The square is a focal area during the Christmas Market, which has been rated as the best in Europe the last two years. I agree. In my last trip to Europe I saw Christmas markets in 6 different... There is always something going on in Jelacic Square. From live music to street vendors to great coffee shops and convenience stores, it really is the hub of activity in old town. Any direction you go from the Square, there is something fun to experience or a great photo waiting to happen!

The market is nice, not too many commercials as I pleased but is too messy, that's the only criticism

This place is very good if you can go at the weekend, when they usually set up market place with many fresh farm products. Those are cheap and very good. This place is also the area where most of tram lines stop then people can catch and go anywhere.
