I spent the beginning of our time with Jeronim of Kamauf Tours trying as hard as I could not to butcher his name. I called him every name other than Jerico (which is the easy version he offers) and a few on accident that I’m sure he didn’t appreciate, but by the end of our week long time together and several hundred kilometers travelled I felt as if we had been friends for years! Croatia is an outstandingly beautiful, safe, and friendly country and Jeronim is a perfect representative of the Croatian spirit. Jeronim treated us like family and even went above and beyond when it came to including our children and making them feel special with small (but big to us) things like giving them their own artful Croatian journal to keep a log of our travels. Jeronim even drew prior in their journals a treasure map of the Zadar waterfront where the treasure turned out to be a nice cold cone of gelato. We started out in Zagreb where one of Jeronim’s associates picked us up from the airport and drove us to our hotel. The next morning Jeronim met us at our hotel and we did a day long walking tour of Zagreb. Jeronim prepared a nice picnic style lunch which he purveyed from the numerous offerings the local outdoor market supplied. We enjoyed people watching, good food, and a nice moment to familiarize with each other. My favorite spot was the City Club Grill cevapi restaurant, truly the best cevapi out of all the places we tried throughout Croatia. The next day we headed up to Motovun where we had fun truffle hunting with our guide and his dogs from Karlic Tartufi which is a family run truffle farm and another five star review in itself. We spent the night high up the hill overlooking the entire region where the next day we headed to Fakin winery and had some really Fakin good wine. Then off to the 11th century town of Hum, population 60 where we had an excellent lunch before heading out to the Plitvice lake area where we had a B&B booked at Tesla’s Gastro House (five stars, great food, wonderful accommodations) and we all enjoyed a wonderful dinner together in the wilderness. We spent the next few days kayaking on the Mreznica river, caving at Barac cave, and walking beautiful lake Plitvice. Our last portion with Jeronim was a long drive down to Trogir with a special stop in Zadar to listen to the sea organ and hunt for gelato treasure! Jeronim dropped us off safely at Marina Baotic where we had an apartment for the night before heading off for a weeklong catamaran sailing trip. I can’t say enough about how wonderful and memorable Jeronim made our trip, without him we would have been blinded by our own preconceived notions on what Croatia and its people are all about, I would have been stressed and tired on the long drives and our vacation would not have been as special in the least. Thank you Jeronim and Kamauf Tours! I highly recommend contacting Kamauf tours when planning a trip to Croatia.

I had a night walking tour in Zagreb with Jeronim for 2 hours. He is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him . You will feel comfortable listening to his valuable information about the city and chatting in the same time about what ever occur to your mind. This tour is a great way to explore the city and enjoy the company of a local friend.

Delights of Croatia & Slovenia Small Group Tour & Cruise 2024
No stone was left unturned . . .
Our experience on this two part holiday tour was beyond our expectations.
For the first week, our Tour Guide Jeronim Cimpersak Zigrovic, was a "Saint" throughout! Nothing was a problem. Jeronim's explanations of the beautiful areas whilst we travelled to our destinations were informative and enlightening. Our guides at our stopovers were also worthy of praise. The accommodations were well appointed in every way. Meals, wine tasting, **olive tasting, and truffle tasting were highly commendable.
** Our personal favourite was the olive tasting, presented by Paul, a member of the family owned producers of BRIST extra virgin olive oil, in a small town named Vodnjan. Olive oil has a whole new meaning in our household today. Thank you BRIST.
Sailing along Croatia Coastline in the ship Rhapsody, (of Katarina Lines) was fantastic. Everything, including the Captain Frane and his dedicated staff, was exceptional.
Danielle, our "chaperone" was second to none. The onshore guides did a superb job.
The places we visited were stunning. The family owned oyster farm, the rural areas of Peljesac Peninsular, an evening all inclusive meal with local dishes and wine, were enjoyed by all. All of this rounded off by an amazing Captain's Dinner. Music, drinks and food were top class. In a nutshell - The camaraderie of a wonderful bunch of people consisting of all guests and staff, made the journey a memorable escapade!

Wonderful experience with Kamauf tours, everything worked just fine, Jeronim was our guide and driver during a week in Croacia, his car is excellent and new. Very reliable. His partners and the other guides were also excellent. Jeronim speaks portuguese very well, and it helped a lot, once our friends did not understand english very well. We were two couples from Brasil travelling from north to south in Croatia. I recommend a lot.

We recently took an 8 day "Delights of Croatia & Slovenia small group tour". Our tour guide/driver Jeronim was extremely knowledgeable and took pride in his service to his customers, creating short videos of each days activities which he shared with us each night on a group chat and generally going the extra mile for us. We left the tour feeling entirely satisfied with the quality of the tour and also that we had made a new friend along the way. We would definitely use his services again should we be touring around that part of Europe.

We had a six day tour arranged by Kamauf. Beautiful would be an understatement to describe Croatia. We were travelling with 2 kids aged 6 years each. Kamauf arranged for a supreb tour for us covering places like Zagreb, Zadar, Ston, Plitvicka, Split, Dubrovnik and many other places. They made it possible in sucha small time in a very relaxed and comfortable way. Special thanks to the guide Martina and Jeronim for planning it out so well. Kamauf gives special attention to your personal needs. Looks like Tourism is not their business, tourism and hospitality is their nature. Thanks team Kamauf.

Thank you VERY much! By far an excellent experience. We worked with Jeronim from Kamauf Tours to organize a Zagreb City Tour as well as Plitvice Lakes - Throughout the booking process, Jeronim was professional and very responsive to my questions to make sure that we had the tour experience that we wanted. On our first day, Jeronim picked us up promptly from the airport and took us to our hotel where we met our guide Mirjana for the tour - Mirjana was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable about the history of the various sites and also took us to some nice shopping/coffee shops to experience the local culture. Both Jeronim and Mirjana were very friendly, enthusiastic, and professional, and very helpful in providing suggestions on restaurants and other things to do while we were in Zagreb!
We also organized a Plitvice Lakes tour through Kamauf, which was also excellent - our guide Goran (Gogo) was great and even made a nice unexpected stop on the way to Plitvice in the village of Rastoke (a very cute town overlooking the river) because he felt we should not miss it - we appreciated this enthusiasm to show us the best of Croatia. Plitvice is simply spectacular and impressive - the upper lakes were closed due to the rains, but this did not affect our wonderful experience (but check the park before you go!)

Thank you Jeronim and everyone for a wonderful experience!

Jeronim was easy to deal with and trustworthy.....we used him for our tour of zagreb and also a day trip to Plitvice lakes (stopping Open air museum of Homeland War, beautiful village of Rastoke and at the end of the day a dinner back at Rastoke)....he was a fun guide to be with and our group of 7 enjoyed seeing the beauty of Crotia... would use him again for trips throughout crotia and would recommend him anyday! He even helped us book a cheap taxi from our accomodation to the airport (paying half the price we paid coming from the airport!!!)

We contacted Kamauf tours for a day trip to the Plitvice lakes and it was a fantastic decision Jeronim and Marilia were more than punctual when they picked us up.On the way to the lakes we made two stops ,one at the War museum where we had time for a coffee and another at Slunj a beatuful village where we saw the first waterfalls. The Plitvice lakes were fabulous but Marilia and Jeronim too. They adapted the tour in the lakes to what we wanted to do, going on hard tracks or lighter ones, longer walks or a boat ride aswell as giving us time for a picnic. It was avery relaxing experience, there was no sense of hurry and I highly recommend Kamauf tours to anyone. We will definitely book with Kamauf on our next visit to Croatia.

Plitvice lake, one of the top attractions of Croatia and UNESCO world heritage site where every tourists who comes to Croatia has to make a compulsory visit invariably. We planned to visit the lake immediately after our arrival at Zagreb and contacted the local tour operators. Most of them were booked for our chosen date when we ultimately contacted Kamauf Tours. They finally arranged a day trip for 4 of us with a private vehicle accompanied by tour guide Martina Uremovic. It was almost a 2 and half hour drive from Zagreb including a lunch break and the road trip was very comfortable. Martina explained us all the beautiful and significant details of the country, people and of course the war and showed us couple of houses where bullet marks still exists. She’s extremely knowledgeable and discussed everything in details. She also taught some Croatian words like “Bok” means “Hi”, “Dovar dan”, means “Good day”. She’s all fun and made us remember till date. Plitvice national park has 16 lakes, with 12 upper and 4 lower lakes. It’s not possible to visit all the lakes in a single day with so much crowd flocking every day. So we visited some part of both upper and lower lakes and watched the spectacular waterfalls in between. We had to wait for a long queue for boat ride in between the upper and lower lakes and the wait is simply worthy. Plitvice has some of the amazing scenic beauty of the country. If someone loves photography it’s an ultimate delight for the shooters. It’s not only about the lakes and waterfalls there are good opportunity to capture the wonderful moments of fish swimming in the crystal clear waters or ducks across the shores of the lakes. Overall the day seemed spending a few hours in heaven where you completely forget the hustle and bustle of the city life and you only hear the sound of the waterfalls or the winds playing round. Thanks to Kamauf Tours for making such an arrangement for all of us and a million thanks to our guide Martina without whom the trip could never be such wonderful. Martina is a true gem of a person and will help any tourist to whatever extent possible. She made our doubts cleared, explained minute details of history, culture and cuisines of the country, guided us the plans and activities for rest of the day, where to buy souvenirs and shopping centres. She’s a true encyclopaedia for Croatia tourism and works really hard to acquire knowledge and stay up to date. Recommend all tourists to google out Kamauf tours and ask for Martina as the tour guide. Good luck Kamauf and a thousand thanks to Martina, the wonder guide.

Dear Debarya G, first of all, thank you for this really detailed comment, with all the things you've remembered and written you could also be a guide! :) There is so much to see and experience not only in the Park but also on the way there, and you've explained it very well. Martina is our excellent guide and we are always proud when our guests recognize the passion and effort that all of our guides make to acquire all that knowledge, and also manage to pass it to the guests in the interesting way. We hope you will visit Croatia again and enjoy even more! Hvala (thank you) and best regards,
