Compared to other "hop-on, hop-off" in other European cities, you only have a few stops in Zagreb. However, it was worth it because we get to see the beautiful city of Zagreb. One thing we've learned was to advise the staff when you "hop-on" the bus at which point you'd like to "hop-off". That's simply because the bus does not stop at the designated points unlike in other European cities. The disadvantage is if you "hop-off" at midpoint, you might have a difficult time to "hop-on" during peak time because the bus will be full - no one disembarks. Overall, it was great because the staff were quite friendly and very accommodating.

We are on in Zagreb a couple of days. This tour was a great way to see the city. The tour is in many languages and pretty easy to follow. I think if you are only in the area a few days its a great way to get your barring’s. Most of the information is from a recording

We did a loop using the hop on off bus. Joined st stop 1 just outside of the ‘Good food Cafe.’ If you stay on bus to do all 7 stops it takes just under an hour. Comfortable ride, clean bus with good audio commentary. Guide and driver friendly and helpful. Guide really only there to collect money. Roof was closed as it was overcast. It gave us a good intro to the city and helped us locate ourselves in relation to city sites. We got off after 1 complete loop at the cathedral and walked through the markets then down through the city back to our hotel. Tickets cost 115 hrk

The Hop-On, Hop-Off Tour in Zagreb was excellent. The audio was interesting and easy to understand and it was well synchronized with the sights and stops. Plus, the bus was always on time - we never had to wait more than 5 minutes. I’ve been on a lot of these tours in Europe and this was one of the better ones. It was a wonderful way to see those parts of Zagreb that are located away from the city center. I would definitely recommend this to others.

Very interesting tour. Learned a lot about the city and buildings that we would not have known without doing the tour.

Have done many city sightseeing bus tours over the years, some great, some OK, some poor. This joke of a trip was beyond poor, it was awful.

Waited at the railway station stop, bus arrived and the guide immediately said "we are not the other tour" (??) which threw us, so we said that we wanted THIS tour, and she allowed us to board. In the meantime other people behind in the queue had pushed past and boarded with the guide doing nothing.

We set off and it was immediately obvious that the commentary was massively out of sync with where we actually were. For the first 10 minutes the guide was taking money and answering questions about tickets as we drove, blocking the view.

She then sat down at the front of the bus and occasionally pointed left or right to identify...... well, who knows what she was doing, as the commentary was describing something 3 streets away.

We then arrived at the cathedral and sat for nearly 20 minutes doing nothing, so the "actual" tour was nothing like the advertised length. A lot of people were getting fed up, the guide had vanished somewhere, and some gave up and got off.

It is staggering to read all the glowing reviews about a "great trip" "so informative" and the incredible "our guide Marija was great and so much fun" and contrast them with the out of sync commentary, the complete lack of interaction by our "guide" ( who never introduced herself and was more intent on continually playing with her hair ) and to not have a suspicion that all these glowing reviews were written by staff of the company.

An absolute joke and a rip off of 230 Kuna

Avoid and find another tour

Avoid.....

Dear Marty, Sorry to hear that our service wasn't good to someone. We really apologise for any inconvenience, we are trying to improve our service and we appreciate feedbacks which can be helpful for us. We talked with our staff regarding your issue an they told us that you had tickets (or asked for) for the other operator and that's the moment when she misunderstood you. Maybe is worthy to mention that our assistant in the bus just started working at that time and maybe because of that was a bit stressed because she was still in a learning process. Regarding our audio guide, it is always punctual (GPS based), but we have some commentaries about city and other interesting things which are not location based (general things and some famous thing from Zagreb). Nevertheless we are very sorry because of your experience and if you ever decide to return to Zagreb, we will be more than glad to offer you a free rides and a coffee. :) Thanks for understanding and hope to see you in Zagreb again. Best regards, ZCT team

We did this tour last week with couple of friends, it was simply amazing. We were welcomed by a friendly staff and managed to get 10% off discount, bus driver was also helpful and very polite. We were very lucky with the weather so we managed to enjoy Zagreb in the sun! Beautiful city and great tour, can't recommend enough!!!

This tour lasts about 1 and 1/4 hours. We got on at stop 1, and I suggest anyone else do the same as the bus was full for the entire loop. The bus is small, and holds maybe 30 people. The Old City is quite small, and you could easily walk to any of the stops from an Old City Hotel. There is some interesting history provided, and the commentary matched the routes, and for the first time, and we have taken many Hop on Hop off tours, the staff pointed to the building that was being described on the audio guide. Full headphones were available rather than the disposable ear buds all other tours provide. We felt it was worth the roughly $20.00 CDN charged.

We had a full day to spend in Zagreb and on a very hot day. After walking around for some time, we decided to book this tour for the afternoon to get out of the sun (they had the top closed on the bus but windows open which was perfect). We booked online and downloaded the app, but you can pay on board as well. The 3:30 offering on a Monday wasn’t too busy and we had no problem getting a seat. Zagreb isn’t huge so there is really only so much to see on this tour but it was a fine tour. We had already seen several of the sites on our own walk that morning but were able to get some info on the sites through this tour which was nice. The only reason for 4 stars was that the tour said it would be an hour but only lasted 45 minutes.

I took the bus in September. This was the low season so buses ran every 45 minutes starting at 10am, with the last bus running at 3:30pm.
There were 7 stops on the tour with the last stop being the Mirogoj Cemetery. The cost was 115HRK. You can pay in cash or by card. The ticket last for a day. Given there are only 7 stops this is long enough. The tour is automated, so you get a headphones, and can choose your language.
I got off at Mirogoj Cemetery, and hopped back on 45 minutes later.
The next stop was the Zagreb Cathedral. There was a 30 minute break so the driver and guide could have lunch. So be prepared if you are traveling over lunch time. I used this time to visit the Cathedral, go to the market, visit Ban Jelacic Square, and grab some lunch.
I hopped on again to go back to the Upper Town. I spent 45 minutes there as I needed to get the last bus down which left close to 4pm. Unfortunately due to the closure of the Stone Gate one of the stops had been moved. This hadn't been explained, and there was nothing on the bus sign which stated this. I saw the bus go by and ran after it but the driver didn't see me; however, the guide had the driver drive around again, because she was looking for me, as I'd told her I would be going back down. This time she spotted me (big sigh of relief).
For me this is not the best hop on hop off tour I've ever done. It doesn't run enough. In saying this, it takes you to all of the major tourist spots, and helps you get your bearings in an unfamiliar city. I would recommend doing it.
