Such a peaceful place

A lot of mountain hiking trails and cycling paths.
You can walk, ride a bike, jog. Dogs are allowed also.
Here you can find several educational paths like:
- forest trail Bliznec (Šumska staza Bliznec)
- 500 Horvat's stairs ( 500 Horvatovih stuba)
- Educational trail Bistra (Poučna staza Bistra)
- Geological educational trail Miroslavec (Geološka poučna staza Miroslavec)
- Salt stream (Sčani potok)

Wonderful for walks

Medvednica is a relatively small mountain but it is quite close to Zagreb and therefore it gets quite crowded over weekends especially. Still the nature here is beautiful and there are plenty of walking routes (more than 150!). So if you want some piece and quiet near the city this is a place to go to in all seasons.
There are also some mountain huts there, places for paintball and grills, an okd fortress, skiing possibilities and other leisure activities.

A Must See

Medvednica has so many beautiful things to offer. My husband and I went in the fall when the leaves were changing. It is absolutely breathtaking.
There is a bus for a only a few Kuna that takes you around the mountain and you can stop where you like. There are stunning views of Zagreb and Slovenia.
