A hidden river

The Sava River doesn’t flow through the centre of Zagreb, so many tourist don’t know that Zagreb has a river. I saw it from the tram, when I visited the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Novi Zagreb.

Walk along the river

May 2021

In Zagreb (and probably lots of other cities; the Sava's decently long), you can walk along the river or bike on the bike path. Saw some guys fishing, but for what, who knows?

This river flows through these lands: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia.
You can see it when you go by bus or car to the park Bundek, or by tram No 6, 7, 8.

JUST A RIVER

There is nothing special about the Sava River, it does not do river tours. Tram No 6 that I catch at Zaprude goes across it, way of Most Mladosti to get to the city, Sava runs behind Park Bundek, also I have walked to Bandevici Fountains from Zaprude using Most Slobode that also crosses Sava River.

Viewed the Sava River a couple of times on a recent holiday to Zagreb ,took the 290 public bus from and back to the airport ,the river looked quite majestic ,it flows through several countries and makes for some great photographic opportunities ,it's a river to most definitely check out if you're planning a holiday to this city .
