Monumental building completed in 1940 in which there are several courts. It looks very impressive.
It is located at the beginning of the main shopping street of the city.

I didn't try to go into this one, but it looks great for a photo from across the street. Kept in pristine white condition it's worth walking past when you're in central Sofia.

If you travel to Sofia, you will probably see this place more than once. Situated in the very city center, it is perfect for a photo stop.
if you are meeting any locals or you are doing a city tour ( I recommend Free Sofia Tour and Sofia Graffiti Tour), meeting point is usually there.
Be careful if you need to catch a cab from somewhere near it, most of the taxi's waiting around are charge more than the usual, better call a local company or use an app.

Impressive and built in a days that people clamor for more deep democratic changes but still a gigantic form of the past dark regime but preserve to be an example of its former glory.

Sofia Court House is a very imposing building that is one of the most recognisable along Vitosha Boulevard.
To centralize all the court houses in Sofia a plan was put forward to build one central court ,funds were raised from 1926 and between 1929 and 1940 this building rose up .
Mostly the design of Nikola Lazarov but with later work by Pencho Koychev ,the Court House has a syenite plinth with a white limestone facade and a cornice below the first floor ,its a four storey building and also has two underground floors and houses 24 courtrooms, a library and a bank hall ,the beautiful 12 columned facade is so eye catching and is a mix of architectural styles including Roman and Byzantine, the lions guarding the entrance are very impressive indeed, it's a stunning piece of architecture that is most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area or planning a trip to Sofia.
Easy to locate Bulevard Vitosha.

The court house of Sofia is centrally located at Serdika. It is located before the start of Vitosha Boulevard and it's a nice building with some stone lions outside!
