We joined the tour of Sofia in the Chaika vintage car. It was great! Albena provided a fascinating walking tour of the centre of Sofia and a chance to see all the main sights. We then joined the car for the ride to the Socialist Art Museum which was really interesting. After going for a longer drive in the car we made a trip to the Soviet War Memorial and National Palace of Culture to learn more about the Communist history of Bulgaria. Albena is a great guide. She shares the right amount of information, anecdotes and even has newspapers and documents from the era to help bring the history alive. The car was superb. Such a unique and enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Beni is he best tour guide I’ve ever met. We had tour to buzludzha in winter. Beni gave us a very welcomed and thoughtful trip. The weather is extremely cold, but Beni helped us to get there. We saw the monument in the amazing snow. I’ll definitely recommend the tour for my friends.

Yes, this is what you're looking for.
This is the best tour I had in long time, the trip was to Buzludzha monument and all the attractions along the way.
The team was professional and amazing in every way, Albena is the best guid you could ask for, very knowledgable, informative and kind.
I would recommend the trip to any tourist going to Bulgaria as it's a must see monument, and I would strongly recommend going with N-Vision especially if your guid is Albena.
Thank you.

I didn't take the "Communism Tours in Bulgaria", organized by N-Vision, but I went to the Rhodopes on a trip, organized by the same team. Beni is a fantastic guide, driver (!), and coordinator, and it was fun to travel around in the breathtaking mountains. She is listening to the traveler's wishes and expectations, trying to realize as many of them as possible, and eventually, she's super transparent when it comes to communication, costs, options and impossibilities.
The tailor-made trip was great in many ways: food, sightseeing, accommodation, etc. Even the music in the car was great, some retro Bulgarian popsongs from the 1950s, which I liked a lot. She helped me to find out the songs on the internet, so that I can listen to them back at home, bringing back memories of the Rhodopi!

Nowhere in the world will you find such a location as Staro Zhelezare to indulge your street art fetish. Here an art professor from Poznan came back to Bulgaria to convince villagers to allow students to decorate the exterior walls of their homes with political satire, random pop culture references, and even caricatures of themselves. Students they may be but the work is of stellar quality and ever-changing, as each summer the homes get a fresh coat of paint.

Tsveti from Communism Tours in Bulgaria was my guide and the perfect companion willing to enter the homes of more than one welcoming villager to translate their fascinating stories. The day included a visit to the Soviet-era Augusta Spa Hotel of Hissarya, where we enjoyed a “hydrotherapy” massage, salt room, dry sauna, and swimming pool.

Tsveti is very knowledgeable about the history of Bulgaria and will provide an in-depth take on the last century that makes you wish the drive was even longer. My Sofia experience would not have been complete without this extraordinary mash-up of street art, spa culture, and village life.

Tsveti (Betty) and Albena (Beni) offered me a tour to the Buzludzha Monument and Veliko Tărnovo, both gems that every tourist to Bulgaria should visit. It was superbly organised and very comfortable. It was a longer drive than usual because the police had unexpectedly blocked the main road to Tărnovo so we took a detour via the ‘Bulgarian Stonehenge’. However the whole drive was a delight because Betty and Beni have a collection of mementos from their family which they use to illustrate their talk about life under communism and their early life memories. We stopped at a fabulous cafe and church on the way to the monument, played a selection of Bulgarian music from different eras. These delightful women are what made this trip extra special. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, the whole day was just so much fun. Whatever tour you do in Bulgaria, include the ones offered by Betty and Beni, mine was a highlight of my time in this beautiful country.

Vasil was a very knowledgeable and informative tour guide. He explained the positions Bulgaria took during WWII, censorship, how religion was pretty much replaced, transition to Socialism, benefits of Communism, collapse of the systems, corruption & gangs, Hunger Winter. Celebration (years 981-1981), Palace of Culture, and present day development of Space Food.

First Beni took us to a local butcher and vegetable stand. Then Beni did a great job of teaching us how to make Moussaka, a traditional Bulgarian dish. Beni accommodated my wife’s allergies to Wheat and Dairy. While the dish was baking Beni showed us pictures and explained some of the history of Bulgaria. The best part you get to eat what you cook, so come hungry.

The tour is super interesting in itself but Beni made it special. She's very enthusiast and funny and that makes all the process of visiting the sites more interesting. I've been very happy to discover the story of Sofia and Bulgaria through this tour.

Highly recommended. I spent a great day outside Sofia visiting the amazing Buzludzha monument. Beni is very laid back and has great knowledge of the communist time in Bulgaria. The whole day felt like spending the day out with a couple of friends. Would recommend it to anyone.
