A stop by
May 2021
A classical and small Medieval church in the heart of Sofia and it has a lot of history. Worth to stop by in middle of day tour.

One of the most interesting churches in Sofia. Built in the 10th century, it has been demolished several times. The modern church was built in the early 20th century after a terrorist attack almost completely destroyed the building.

Small and Beautiful
Nov 2019
This Miedeval church was destroyed multiple times and subsequently rebuilt, with rich history. It's small, but beautiful inside.

Stunning
Feb 2020
Of all the churches we visited, this is the most stunning. It's not big, but it's definitely worth the visit.

Definitely worth a visit

Worth seeing not just for the architecture, but more so for the tragedy that happened here in 1925. Communist anarchists hoping to assassinate Tsar Boris III, detonated a bomb that spared the royals but killed around 200 attendees.

Not as good as Alexander Nevski Cathedral but pretty close. They also have a 6Lv charge to take photos which they police.

must see cathedral, los of history
Jan 2020
This cathedral is linked to some of the most tragic events in modern Bulgarian history. Communist terrorists blew it up in 1925 killing almost 200 people inside. It is a monument of the communist evil that plagued this country for most of 20th century.

Must-see in Sofia
Dec 2019
If you like visiting churches, this one should be on your list when in Sofia. It is in my top-3 in the city along with the St Alexandre Nevski and St Sedmochislenici (Graf IIgnatiev Street)
