It is a nice place. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes. Sometimes there are street musicians and magicians. Good pizza around south end of walk area with views to mountain Vitosha.

Mix of architecure, long boulevard transformed to pedestrian zone, crowded with Sofians and their guestes. Full of famous clubs, cafes & restaurants. I recomend Shortcut and Raffy. Its near NDK & all main attractions. Nearby small, hidden streets. This is real picture of Sofia. Great city full of life. Metro stations are well marked.

The only pedestrian area in central Sofia, rammed full of cafes, restaurants, bars and gelato shops. Pick one, get a coffee and watch the world go by! There are a few beggars around but are generally unobtrusive and won't hassle you.

good place for outdoor cafes, restaurants, shops, people-watching; some street performers intermittently; some beggars; prices by canadian standards very reasonable - on par with our prices, sometimes lower; lots of fresh food choices - plenty for vegetarians; busy so watch for pick-pockets but generally a good vibe

While there are some really nice cafes and restaurants along the long pedestrianised boulevard (notably Memento and Social Cafe), generally it's a mediocre street cutting across the centre. You will probably walk along it willy nilly and it's better than other streets full of cars, but don't expect Sofia's response to Strøget, Vaclavske Namesti or other grand boulevards.

If you stay in Sofia, you must venture down this quaint shopping district. It is full of cafés, restaurants and marvelous little shops.
