Having read bad reviews about previous editions (no water stations on Lap 2!) I was sceptical about the race, but lined up at the start. the cousre is flat pretty much all the way, the weather in October was perfect - sunny, 16 degrees, the course wasn't crowded after the first 2K; there were feeding stations along the way, especially nice were the ones handling freshly squeezed orange/lemon juice. Having 2 identical laps helped me to pace myself perfectly. There was free massage, which surely helped me to beat my PB by 11mins - 3:43.
The T shirt was good quality, entry was only €30, including €20 voucher for WIZZ Air
Overall I'd give it 8.5 out of 10. There just wasn't much support on the streets and I would have liked pace makers.

Did this as part of a boys football trip. Only 2 of us went but it was so worth it. Our guide (Anna?) was fantastic. Set a good pace, showed us round the city with great stories and knowledge. Will definitely do this again in other cities.

We really enjoyed our run with Ani around Sofia. It was an excellent way to get a tour of the city, and somewhat different from the usual kind of walking tour! Ani was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the city, but with lots of interesting stories and anecdotes too - she was also excellent at adapting to a suitable pace for us. What particularly impressed me was that the route managed to take us around all the major landmarks in the city centre, but without having to run along major roads much at all. It was also really good to spend part of the tour running around the city's parks.
A great way to learn about Sofia from a local who knows all the stories, and good to get in a run in a new and unfamiliar place too. Highly recommended!

Running with Ani around Sofia was so great that honestly I'm speechless. Visiting free walking tour first, it was a great opportunity to see other parts of Sofia such as parks, monuments. Running tempo is slower, but that needs to be to be able to talk and listen. I recommend the tour.

We toured Sofia with Ani at the beginning of a two week work trip. She was a fantastic guide, and the route was excellent. For the next two weeks we could share anecdotes about the city with all of our work colleagues - even the locals were impressed! I would strongly suggest this to anyone who can run 5km - 10km.

Ani picked me up a few minutes late but was excused due to some transport issues. She shared nice annecdotes while we ran through the city and parks. So green. Thank you Ani. She runs moderate pace and guides you well.

I booked the Sofia green tour as I wanted to run away from the traffic in Sofia enjoying the big green area located in the heart of the city. My guide picked me up at my hotel on time. We decided about the approximate distance and where to go. He explaining to me many things about the history of the parks any the city. Finally he brought me back to my hotel after 12 interesting Kilometers.
The communication and the booking with Sofia Running was very friendly and quick.
I can really recommend this way of running in a city I don’t know so well; especially on business trips where you don’t have so much time to plan your routes.

I chose to do this tour to experience a city that I didn't know yet, as well as do some run training. First of all, Sofia is a beautiful city, but Ani the tour guide was a charming guide that picked an interesting route and made the experience interactive and fun. The training wasn't super-intense, but that was mostly because Ani adapted it to me, which was fine. In the end, we ran about 8km, but there are different lengths available as options.

I always feel like a goober on tour buses, so instead opt to see a new city via running. In looking for running routes, I came across Sofia Running. It’s a tour guide AND a run through Sofia - which was perfect for the way I wanted to see Sofia.
I ran with Rosti, who was a great guide. He asked me for my pace beforehand and definitely kept me honest. Would definitely recommend this for runners! Such a cool experience.

I had to cancel the planned run in the morning with Sofia Running Tour due to rain but Ani was sweet and very flexible and offered that we could go for a run late afternoon. She is an amazing guide and can tell you a lot about history, monuments and buildings. I will for for sure do this again if visiting Sofia!
