Crystal Garden is one of the good and facourite parks in Sofia. It is near to the city centre and is in the city centre next to Russian church and Central military club.

Alongside elegant Bul. Tsar Osvoboditel is this small but relaxing and pleasant greenery. With lovely walkways by the outstanding trees and plants, it also has plenty of seating for resting and quiet contemplation.
Within the garden is a impressive monument to Stefan Nikolov Stambolov, a Bulgarian polymath. A poet, journalist, politician and revolutionary activist he served for one of the longest times as Prime Minister.
At one corner of the garden is what looks like a leftover from a past regime. I assume it used to be a security lookout hut used by the secret police. We also came across some more of these around the city.

This is one of the oldest gardens in Sofia. It dates back to the Ottoman Empire and was originally used as a nursery. The park's center attraction is the statue of Stefan Stambolov a Bulgarian politician, journalist, revolutionary and poet. He took part in both the Stara Zagora and April Uprisings. He served as prime minister and was instrumental in the development of modern Bulgaria. The park is another example of beautiful green space and lends itself to relaxing and enjoying the great outdoors. This is worth some time while out and about.

Crystal Gardens is a lovely park in the heart of the city that is just a joy to visit.
Although the most popular part of this park looks quite small the park itself is quite large ,its divided into different areas, the Russian Church is the most distinct feature in one part of the park but it's most beautiful area is were the monument to Stefan Stambolov is located ,theres some great bars in the park ,even when cold it was nice sitting outside and enjoying a cold beer watching people enjoying the delights of this park, theres all manner of statues, monuments and water features throughout the park, its a fascinating place to unwind in ,probably the most famous landmark monument is to Stefan Stambolov, poet, writer,Prime Minster of Bulgaria who was assassinated very close to were the statue is located.
A wonderful park and garden area, most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area.

There's an interesting part of history there... But besides that, there are also a few "park bars", and if you want to know what they are, go there and find out... I never seen something like that anywhere else.
