Communist Walking Tour of Sofia

226 reviews
Sofia is filled with famous monuments from Bulgaria’s communist era, but there are also many secluded places that are easy to miss on your own. Ensure you see the recognizable and hidden sights, and learn about their backstories on this walking tour. Exploring by foot grants you access to place inaccessible by traditional tour vehicles. Plus, discover the realities of daily life under Bulgaria’s 1946-1989 government from a guide—insight you wouldn’t get if sightseeing independently.

They are RACIST if you are tourist. DON'T GO. The guardins are extremely UNPOLITE, they push one of our friends for trying to entry the club without physical ID but a photocopy (it was robbed from her in our contry [France]). Please DON'T go to this place.

If you're Bulgarian, I guess it's great. Tourists have to pay entrance, bouncers are handsy and rude, but let locals in. If you're not local, don't go there, very rude

Myself and friends visited Bar Friday several evenings through the week and had great times every single night! Super cool music and staff, the bar itself is very spacious and we always met cool people to have drinks and chat with. The music theme was different each night and it seems that the selectors are really trying to get into the vibe of the crowd. What I aslo liked is that the place and the people inside are super easygoing and fun! Cheers!

I've been going to this bar for more than 10 years now and it never gets boring! Whenever I have a friend visiting Sofia from abroad, this is the first place on my sightseeing list for him. Trust me, it's worthed.
