We had an amazing experience with Balkanity Travel. It was well organized and Nikolay is totally awesome!!!
Nikolay picked us up from Vitosha Boulevard and drove us to the Borovets where we got changed into our ski gear. Nikolay was an amazing guide with in-depth information on Vitosha mountains which made our journey interesting, conversational and enjoyable. During our drive, we stopped by at a local bakery and he offered us Banitsa's it is the yummiest breakfast one can ever have!!!
When we got to the piste the sound of snow crunching under our feet gave me a giddying tingle of excitement and nerves. It was my first time skiing and I had been persuaded to come along with friends who were sharing this as a first time with me as we were getting kitted up, I was trembling with nervous anticipation and Nikolay was patient calmed me down and cheered us as we enjoyed our ski lessons.
I can't thank Nicholay enough for holding the GoPro for us and encouraging us, making every move a moment of glory whilst learning to ski.
After our Ski lesson, we had lunch at a local restaurant and he ensured there was a veg menu for us. After lunch, we went snowmobiles trails. The snow was great, the snowmobiles were in great condition, the staff was friendly, snowmobile trails were groomed, it was an incredible drive with a breathtaking view.
We ended our day sledding our way into happiness.
Everything Balkanity Travel did was for our comfort, fun, and safety. Massive thank you to Nikola he was very kind and helpful. I highly recommend them and you are assured a pleasant experience worth your money :)

After contacting Balkanity about our plans to go to Sofia Borovets for multiple days, they arranged a custom package deal including a stay at a local guesthouse. Nikolay and Tony were both great company during our trip and helped us out with whatever we needed. Totally recommended! Thanks a lot guys 🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬

Nikolai is an excellent guide. Picked us up at the given time promptly & took care of us throughout the trip by consistently asking us if we were enjoying the trip & if everything was okay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe and well planned ski trip in Bulgaria.

Absolutely fabulous day!!!
We were well looked after by Nik from start to finish and the whole day was incredibly well organised.
Pick up was bang on time from our hotel, a very safe journey to Borovets, and an amazing day skiing and horse riding.
Nik happily waited for us while we enjoyed a little drink after skiing and then drove us safely home.
Highly recommended!

Niki picked us up at 7am and safely drive us up th mountain. Everything was organized and extreamly professional. Niki had it all sorted and was extreamly friendly. We had such a wonderful day up the mountain without a hitch. Loved it!!!!

We used Balkanity Travel for transportation from Plovdiv to Sofia and again from Sofia to Skopje. The service we received was exceptional. Comfortable clean cars with great local information. Don't rent a car or take a bus or a train. Relax and let Balkanity Travel handle it for you.

With it being towards the end of the ski season I wasn’t sure if it would still be possible but a message to Balkanity put everything in motion and they were excellent from the get go.
Travelling solo, I paid a small surcharge (travelling in groups is cheaper) but it was worth it. The driver (Anton) picked me up at 07:15 and we were on our way. Anton is clearly a guy who knows Bulgaria (and a lot of other European cities!) and has a passion for the outdoors. We shared an interest in trail running so on the road trip he had lots of information about the area and stories of his own days in the mountains.
We arrived at the ski training centre (I’d never skiied before) in Borovets around 8.40 and it was a smooth process getting the hire gear and meeting the group. I had an incredible day learning to ski and met some amazing people in the beginners class. We were taught the basics during the morning lessons and in the afternoon, were shown how to use the lifts ect and got a bit of freedom. I got overconfident and went down a blue and a red section (crashing out many times) before calling it quits at the second Yastrebetz Gondola station.
Anton was outside as I arrived back at the ski training centre around 1530, where I returned the gear and excitedly told him about my wipeout at 55km/h on my first blue section.
A short while later I was dropped back at my hostel and thinking of my next trip with Balkanity, when I return to Sofia. Maybe a mountain-biking adventure?

Tips:
- Balkanity answered any questions I had very quickly on Facebook messenger. So ask away if you have any worries ect.
- Be sure to take extra cash to the top, if you are training on the green slopes at the top of the Yastrebetz Gondola (or probably anywhere) the drinks & food are more expensive than in Sofia. Around 15Lv for a burger, 7Lv for beer or 5Lv for a bottle of water.
- This is definitely obvious to anyone who has been skiing before or has a brain, take sun tan lotion. I’m paying the price today.

My mates and me had an awesome trip, all inclusive for a great price! Nikolai and Tonni are super nice people and everything (like time of departures,changing from snowboard to ski gear etc.) was open for discussion. Tonni even helped us retrieve a lost snowboard and we spend a awesome day of skiïng with him. Everything was well taken care of! we stayed at a suggested accomodation (link below) with very friendly hosts and the most delicious food! every day there was way to much food for us so we where able to take some of it with us as lunch the next day.
10/10 would recommend!

We went on a skiing trip with friends. And we were looking for an affordable way to get a few days of winter sport fun. Eventually we found Balkanity Travel.
We got 3 days of all inclusive skiing. Including our stay at a guesthouse, ski gear, transport and food&drinks! So we didn't have to think about anything except skiing.
this has been an amazing vacation, and we all want to go back next year.
Definitely would recommend this to others!
