Three Bulgarian natural wonders in one day – Private tour

On this Day tour we’ll visit a few magical, but forgotten spots on the west of the capital.

The first place to visit is imbued in history and blood - the story of an epic battle and the blood of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for Bulgaria. Today, there’s a unique monument from communist times - The Pantheon “Mother Bulgaria” which was built as an open towards the sky temple with a pyramidal shape. In its center is situated the statue of “Mother Bulgaria” sorrowful over her killed defenders.

Close to the monument are to be found ruins from an ancient fortress in the beautiful gorge of Petlyuka. People say that there was a sanctuary of ancient greek’s God of Healing - Asclepius, son of Apollon.

The second place we’ll visit is the town of Breznik where is situated the richest in iron water spring in Bulgaria. The spring is close to the church of St. Petka.

Our third stop is an underground gallery - the “Underground mining museum” in Pernik which is one of a kind on the Balkans!

On the footsteps of the Bulgarian Prophet Vanga – Private day tour

Baba Vanga is considered to be the greatest prophet of the millennium. She was a very sensual woman who perceived the world differently and saw things that were invisible to everyone else.

Before she died she predicted the history of the world and humanity.

On this day we head south from Sofia to visit and feel the energy places associated with the life of the prophetess and to learn more about her gift and strengths. We depart for the famous area called “Rupite” where Vanga chose to accept her visitors for a good reason. This village is believed to have a very strong positive cosmic energy, which can be found only in two other locations in the world—Argentina and Indonesia.

Rupite is a destination that attracts visitors from all over the world not only because it is connected with the famous prophetess, but also because of its unique location at the bottom of the ancient volcano Kojuh nearby which are situated hot mineral springs.

Bulgarian Traditional Lifestyle - Private Tour

Partially thanks to its slow economic growth, Bulgaria has managed to conserve its traditions and nature. Outside of the big cities numerous breathtaking sights await to be discovered as well as a plethora of verdant fields and ancient monuments.

Wildlife is abundant in the countryside where Nature herself is the biggest landlord. The 21st century definitely doesn’t look like it’s cut from the same cloth as this secluded corner of the world. The chirping of birds blends with the smell of forest herbs and the gentle touch of the breeze to deliver a sensation of fulfillment to the ones who have dared to venture into the depths of the forest.

Embark on a journey into the heart of the mountain, explore the ruins of a medieval monastery, discover the unique art of wood plastics, take a selfie with the domestic animals in a small village farm and optionally have lunch with products of the purest quality.

Let’s be honest now - what more could a person need?

Had a great guide, Bozh who made us feel safe and comfortable. He was also very informative. The train ride was indeed very scenic. However, it was far too long. A 3.5 hrs forward and another 3.5 hrs ride back totals up to 7 hrs on the train. There is also a total of 3 hrs return trip from the train station Septemvri to Sofia. So thats a total of abt 10 hrs ride. The village Yakoradu is indeed unique but it is way too small and there isnt much to be done there. But we did manage to find the mosque and then had an awesome lunch. If you dont mind the train ride, then its worth to go. We just thought they could cut short the ride to one of the nearer village instead of going all the way up. But then again, they may be restricted by the train schedule.

Three of us took this tour and thought it was the highlight of our four day trip. Our guide Martin was knowledgable and informative and answered all our questions covering social, political and economic topics. We found it a refreshing insight after the slick city tour. The tram ride to the outskirts of Sofia was enjoyable and we learned a little about local customs and how they differ from our own. Walking was mostly on rough tracks or alongside unadapted roads, so we were glad of sensible footwear. Our guide was adaptable and we tried the Bulgarian snack and drinks at the end of our tour instead of part way through. All three of us really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it. Probably best for limited numbers, rather than the fifteen to twenty on city centre tours. Great tour Martin , thank you

I did actually really enjoy the tour well enough. However, on TripAdvisor, the schedule and the time limit indicated it would take 2.5-3 hours. Rather, it was quite abbreviated from that to 1.5 hours long. I had planned my day expecting 3 wish hours and when he said it was done i was quite surprised. I wasn't upset but i did expect a little more. The guide was very nice and informative, but often put in his own opinions and often used words like 'blah, blah' and swore quite a bit when expressing his opinions (on the political side of Sofia's history) and I saw that as a bit unprofessional. However, I really liked the private tour part, it allows you to ask any questions you may have, where in a big group tour you won't. Overall, I really did enjoy the tour and it didn't hamper my day by ending so early. Just would've liked it a bit more refined/in depth.
