Professional service with car rental booth directly in the Sofia airport arrivals. Car pick up is then only a few steps away on level -4 accessible directly via the lift inside the same area. That is the same place where you need to return the vehicle. Going out of / in the parking is easy and automatic - barrier moves on its own as everything is prepaid. Deposit was successfully returned after 25 days. However you can pay by cash and receive that instantly.

Picking up the car and returning it went very well. The car was very good and corresponded to the reservation.
The only downside is that it is not a warranty waiver but rather a charge of €600 which will be returned to me within 20-30 days depending on the staff upon return.
I will update when the amount is recovered.

Planning a trip to Sofia might be difficult if you do not have lockal friends to show you the city because there are practicly no guided tours available to book online in advance. I searched for ages and gave up. However there is so much to see in Sofia. The city has amazing sites and richer than expected history. You may want to include visits to:
1. Roman remains of the old Serdika city established in 29AD, archaeological sites are beside the church of St George Rotunda behind and left of Hotel Balkan, Serdika metro station, Central Market Hall and more.
2. St Alexander Nevski Cathedral
3. National History Museum
4. National Aecheological Museum
5. Regional History Museum, housed in the restored former 1913 building of the Central Mineral Baths.
6. National Art Gallery
7. Natural History Museum
8. Boyana Church, an UNESCO World Heritage Site
9. Vitosha mountain and the great views over the city of Sofia from above day and night.
10. Traditional food and drinks - make sure you know your limits, it is filling, rich and extremely delicious! :)

It's a scam. They didn't give us the car.
They broke our Reservation contract (formalized and paid through Booking) under our noses because we didn’t want to hire the extended coverage (we had one from Spain) and because instead of the 1600 leva (800€) deposit in the contract, they wanted to charge us 3000 leva (1,500€).
They lied about everything: they told us that we were going without insurance, even though the basic insurance coverages included were detailed on the Reservation Voucher; they said that we did not have any Reservation with them, even though, in addition to the Booking reference number on the Reservation Confirmation Voucher were the Easy Rent Bulgaria data and a Reservation number of this company.
They didn't give us the claim sheet! Neither at the time of picking up the car nor days later, when we passed the counter before the flight back to Spain. They sent us to claim Booking.
In the end, they almost did us a favor, because instead of the 153 euros they swindled us for the car they never delivered us they could have rented 3,000 euros, as we have seen they have done with dozens of users, because not only do they tend to keep the deposits, but they carry double for pre-existing damages of their tartana cars in bad condition and with hundreds of thousands of kilometers. Don't trust this compony! Avoid at ALL COSTS. We had a booking of 8 seater van with €100 Deposit paid in September 2024. After arriving at airport asking for the service, being told that our van was not available. Also 5 days before our holiday we phoned in person to confirm that all is OK. Leaving us in late evening not knowing what to do , being robbed the €100 Deposit and had to pay taxis until solving the problem with other company. Most of all, a rude man Friday 27th Dec evening is arrogant in front of our children and a lady with special needs.

Never rent from this company. Once they find you don't have full insurance with them, they manage screw. Once you arrive in a hurry at the airport they ask you to sign an empty document. then they fill they found 'a damage' and to repair this costs 1500 EUR - almost as much as the car costs. See the images. Of course - they never showed to me that they repaired the car. Simply find another company

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. I used the Sofia Airport Terminal 2 Location. Pay slightly more and go with a reputable car rental agency, there is a reason this place is cheaper.
Where do I begin? When you arrive they will ask you to provide your ID and passport and pull up your reservation. They will soon try to upsell you on a vehicle (normal process for most rental agencies), but they are a bit pushier than usual. I denied the upgrade, but the two men at the front desk began speaking in a different language and soon after I was informed that because I arrived 1 hour later than the time I requested to pickup the car, my reservation was now invalid. They informed me that my car is no longer available (I booked 8:30am technically and arrived just after 9:30am) and now my only option is to upgrade for 100 euros, or forfeit the amount I paid towards the reservation. After trying to reason with the person, I was bluntly told I should read the terms and conditions next time. It was very clear they were just trying to take advantage and force me to pay for an upgrade. I even asked if I could speak with a manager and I was told they are not here, so no I cannot.
After debating whether or not to just cancel and go somewhere like Hertz, I ultimately decided to pay the 100 euro for the upgrade, as I did not want to waste the money I already paid for the initial reservation.
Upon receiving the vehicle the low tire pressure warning lights were on and it had half a tank of gas. I asked if the tire pressure could be filled, as this was concerning leaving with a car with warning lights on, and they said no, and not to worry about it.
Ultimately, I learned my lesson. I'll never use a slightly cheaper local company again, which is sad, as I typically attempt to use a smaller local brand. But after this terrible ordeal and horrendous customer service, I can strongly suggest to use anyone other than Easy Rent Bulgaria.

Not recommended. I rented the car for two days at Sofia airport terminal 2. Returned in very good condition and with full. I paid the cost of the rental 60 euros and the deposit of 312 euros to be returned to the return.

Car was ok, couple of scratches but otherwise in good condition, quite new. The proccess of receiving and also returning the car was very fast and without any problems. Price of the rent = incomparably low. The only big minus is that they charge deposit from your credit card instead of freezing it permanently and they only return it back after 20-30 working days. Plus they returned less because of different exchange rate at the day of deposit refund so in the end I paid around 40€ more for the rent. I’ve recently used a different car rental company in Italy and they refunded the deposit like 10 minutes after I returned the car.

Must be fake reviews. I had a very bad experience getting a simple refund back. Finally my credit card company was able to settle it with their bank.
There is a way to report the company, to Bulgarian authorities. I suggest people do this with the Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Consumers: (Facebook: Komisiazazashtitanapotrebitelite, or here: psc.egov.bg/user-guide-costomer-protection).

I seriously urge everyone to avoid this company. I've had first hand experience of them several years ago. My report and many others are on the Bulgaria forum. They were caught out on the forum too for creating fake profiles and placing very favourable reviews. These "reviewers" had no other TripAdvisor reviews - just a glowing review for Easyrent, Easycar.

Me encuentro en la misma situación. En mi caso, alquilamos el coche en enero y nos cobraron 200€ de depósito en lugar de simplemente retenerlos y todavía no hemos recibido el dinero de vuelta. Nos hemos puesto en contacto con ellos y siempre nos responden lo mismo: que ya han hecho la transferencia y que hablarán con el banco para ver si ha habido algún problema. Случайно наткнулся на этот сайт вопрсы и ответы о компании Easy Rent Bulgaria и очень удивился что есть отрицательные ответы.Я два года подряд пользуюсь услугами этой компаии заказываю машину на месец и у меня небыло некаких проблем.Получал ту марку какую я заказывал Renault Clio дизель.В этом году я заказал дважды так как в течении месеца мы летали в Будапешт.По прилёту Софию не оказалос Renault Clio дизель и мне пез проблем дали Renault Kaptur дизель.После прилёта с Будапешта в Терминал 1 пришлось подаждать 15 минут но в течении этих 15 минут я получил 20 если не больше извинений.Так что я всем советую пользоватся этой компанией и сам в 2019 собирась опять воспользоваться их услугами.
