Kiril Kostov and Azimut Tours prepared a five-day school trip for us, combining alpine hiking in the Pirin National Park, discovering the ancient and Christian past of picturesque Bulgaria, local wine and design business, rafting, or hot spring baths. Perfect communication and service with soul!
Azimut has a philosophy of supporting local quality and has so much to offer! On behalf of our class of 36 17-year-old students and 3 teachers of the European School Brussels III, I can recommend this group of excellent people as guides. All our expectations have been exceeded, thank you and we look forward to the next trip with your organization! Thanks to!! Pet

We were a group of 36 students and 3 teachers from the European School III in Brussels and we spent 6 exciting days in Bansko, Pirin National Park, Polehzan Peak, Kresna Gorge and Sofia. Azimut Tours organized everything perfectly and we warmly thank them. Rafael

We were hiking, as a group, 18 people with Azimut hours , led by kiril , for 7 full hiking days covering ( as much as possible) the Rila, Pirin and Rodopi mountains. The plan was great, diversed and each day was somehow different from the other. All the technicalities were perfectly taken care of and unexpected events ( Such as a lift chair not operational) led to an other great alternative.
In addition to discovering the mountains, some snow, and Bulgaria's nature in general, we were nicely exposed to Bulgaria's culture by Kiril's explanations and by meeting local people at several pre-arranged events.

Azimut Tours is surely the travel agency you may want to work with, to get the most of Bulgaria's treasures 🤗

Velko picked us up from the airport and helped us with everything we needed to buy for the trip. On the way he taught us about Bulgaria and we had a fascinating conversation. We arrived at the parking lot and started climbing for an hour and a half. We finally saw the cabin so we took off our bags and put on our helmet and harness. The climb was challenging but worth every moment, the views were breathtaking and Belko patiently guided us. After four days of trekking Velko picked us up from the end of the route and drove us to hot springs. It was a great trip and Velko added a lot of his knowledge!

Kiril is a passionate person and great expert on the mountains. Communication was easy going both ibefore and during the excursion. Kiril also proved to be very attentive to the needs of my son who was limited by a small injury. Very nice experience up to 2500 meters, can't wait to return to the fantastic Pirin Mountains

We did a 2-days snowshoe hike in Rila National Park in March 2022. The hike took us 6 hours on the first and approximately 4.5 hours on the second day, which was pretty challenging (and I would recommend it only if you're in good physical condition) but absolutely worth it! The views were amazing and getting to spend two days in the untouched nature of the snow covered Rila mountains, far away from the bustle of the everyday life, was priceless.
We visited the Skakavitsa waterfall (still completely frozen at the time), walked past the 7 Rila Lakes and ascended to the Otovitsa and Haramiyata peaks. My favourite part, though, was walking across the mountain ridge with stunning views of the 7 Rila Lakes, Vitosha, Rila and even Pirin Mountains. The weather was sunny but we had strong winds on the second day. Winter hiking in such conditions can be dangerous (be sure to have good hiking equipment!) but we felt safe with our experienced guide Velko who was at all times happy to explain about the mountains and beyond and was a very pleasant company.
The overnight in the hut was a unique experience, which I would absolutely recommend. We were greeted by the hut keeper Georgi who played on the traditional Rhodopi bag pipe and prepared us a delicious dinner and breakfast. The hut itself is beautifully decorated and being there we had the feeling time has stopped. The atmosphere was relaxed and harmonious and so much different than anything else we experienced in Bulgaria - it's really a world of its own up there.

All in all, it was an amazing experience. Even before the tour we were impressed by the good communication - our first contact, Kiril, promptly answered every question we had (even though he was in Morocco at the time) and even helped us find accommodation in Sapareva Banya as well as gave us useful tips on restaurants and much more. The guidance was professional and for the 2 days with Velko in the mountains we didn't have to worry about anything.

Thanks again and keep on with the great job!!

Our guide Georgi was brilliant from the pre pick up information, the local knowledge along the journey, the personal escort into the spa and even gifts on the way back.
The spa was excellent too. Clean, quiet and friendly. The food in the snack bar was good too.

Azimut tours has proved to be a very serious and organized company.
Our guide was Velko. He's really cool guy and helpful. He led us on a beautiful hike in the Rila Mountain. He explained to us the history of Bulgaria and gave us a load of tips about the city! We have spent a really nice day in his company 😄
