I was truly fascinated from this attraction. It is a mix between modernist and ancient authentic Tomb. It's is one of the most impressive tombs in Bulgaria. It is located nearby Isperih town but you will need a car to reach the Tomb.

This site definitely adds to our visit of Bulgaria. The site is well preserved and is worth a visit, even if you have to reach it over bad roads and have to endure reckless drivers.

An excellent English-speaking guide took us to three sites in the complex of ancient ruins. I highly recommend you get a guide. The Tomb of Sveshtari was breathtaking. The female caryatids are exquisite. The tomb is maintained at a constant temperature and humidity. The figures are in a room that you are not allowed to enter, but you can stand... More

I was astonished by the professional conservation of the sight. The actual tomb is very impressive and majestic. The elements, the colours are all preserved very well. The guides are very professional. Definitely worth the visit. Just mind that it is a popular destination and we had to wait 80 minutes before we could go in. You can call and... More

We visited here as family group and found it to be magical. To see tombs so well preserved and the feeling of what it must have been like to live back in those times was quite sereal. This is definately a place I would recommend to see.

I visited Sveshtari for the first time right after it was discovered.Even back then, before much of the infrastructure was built around it or even properly preserved, was stunning. How often in life do You get to see an actual bomb of the Tracian times? The architecture is marvelous. It just takes You breath away,at least for me.

Amongst the 30 mounts in the area this mount was excavated and found to contain the tomb of a Sveshtari king and his wife; guarded by 6 horses. After the excavations were finished an artificial hill was built over the findings to preserve the site. You are only allowed to access the site under supervision (excellent English speaking guide) and... More

Somewhere on the road to Ruse, North of Bulgaria. Large forest. In the middle of nowhere. And, still, some signs. Unusual signs. A very well tended bed of lavender. Incredible green tiled brand new toilets. Just another Thracian tombstone ? "Thracian people is second largest after the Indian", so Herodotus. "And despise death because of their natural wisdom." Elation much... More

The royal tomb and the two nearby tombs are wonders of human abilities. if you have any interest in ancient history, this site is a must see. I was particularly impressed by the efforts in place to preserve these remains of our past
