The museum and the infrastructure could be improved, but the natural reserve is just amazing. You may walk (or drive slowly, but walk is so much better) from one side of Srebarna to Danube, which is about 3 km and to watch amazing view towards the lake and the birds.

Beautiful place where nature takes over. Lots of walks and fantastic sights especially the pelicans. We stayed in a lovely guest house near by (Pelican Lodge?) and the guide was great and very informative

This time we didn't have as much time as we wanted to spend here. But in the 2 hours we drove and walked here, the only feeling we left with is that one that we should return for a day here in order to be able to see, and hear and observe all the miracles and beauties that nature gathered... More

We visited the Reserve on November 27, on a cold weather, and we arrived through Srebarna village. The road was good, only the last 500-600 meters on Srebarna are bad asphalt and then is good gravel road. In this time of year, the life on reservation is less visible, but with good binoculars you can see swans, pelicans, coots and... More

This place is well worth a visit for anyone who is interested in wildlife. Plenty of birds to be seen, insects and wild flowers too. We were fortunate enought to get a lovely distant view of the Dalmatian Pelicans breeding on the lake as well as a good sighting of Purple Heron among many others.

The reserve is mainly one lake that stretches towards the Danube river. Its excellent for birder since its has the only breeding colony of the Dalmatian pelican in Bulgaria. But much more can be discovered, I was there during migration and could see many many birds! For non birders looking for some activity it might be boring BUT for everyone... More

I visited the place with other European tour operators. The place is well organized for bird watching. Organized trips are performed by local organizations.

Srebarna lake is a draw for bird watchers fron all over the world, however, you don't need have a special interest in birdlife to enjoy this location. We visited in late autumn and enjoyed a walk by the lake. We found the location really beautiful and peaceful. We virtually had the place to ourselves. At the end of the lake... More
