An architecturally nice bridge but it's infamy is from an century ago when WW1 begun after the assassination of Franz Ferdinand. It's fascinating to think of how 1 event in this exact spot changed history forever.

Photo op time. Get a picture of the bridge where Franz Ferdinand was shot which is linked to the start of World War 1. Walk across the bridge and say you were there.

Worth pausing and taking a few pics. But Franz was killed a few steps away over the road where you will find a plaque. Also worth understanding the history ahead of time.

It's a bridge. Yes, it has a history that is way more interesting than the actual bridge. But I crossed it many times, so I'm glad it's there just for that reason.
