This triangular building is a site to see, quite beautiful built in the moorish style In the 1800’s. During the Siege of Sarajevo, it was heavily damaged, after a long restoration the building is back to its former glory

I've viewed Vijećnica many times from the street, but recently finally made my way inside. I was left speechless by the ornate and grand interior. The beauty of this building can be truly appreciated when compared to photographs of its state before reconstruction. There is also a museum covering the history of Sarajevo in the basement. Very few of the exhibits are in English, but still worth the visit. 10 km to enter, and worth it!…

The City Hall may well be the first thing you see when arriviing in the city, as the airport bus stops almost right outside. This iconic building sits proudly on the waterfornt as a symbol of the city and is just as beautiful inside as outside with ornate celiings and a small yet interesting exhbition on the city's history in the basement.…
