When we wanted to buy tickets, they told us to have no change at all, we had to give the exact amount of money. The objets (which were not very exciting anyway) were not lightened enough and the famous Hagada you can only see behind...More

Learn about the rich history of Bosnia and Herzegovina through a series of buildings with everything from ancient jewelry to 19th century rooms that have been transplanted from homes of the wealthy class. As an added treat, spend time in the gardens that are resplendent...More

The collection is beautifully displayed and well-labled. The highlight for me, however, was the Sarajevo Haggadah. Bravo!

Go to this museum to learn about the ethnic history and the ancient history of Bosnia. It is actually composed of three museums and a library around one beautiful botanical garden. You can see ancient roman artefacts discovered in Bosnia and beautiful ethnic costumes. Spend...More

I went for the sole purpose of seeing the famous Sarajevo Haggadah. But it's in an area that is closed for renovation. It's the greatest piece in the museum so you would think they'd make it available.

The impressive grandeur of the building hints at the promising treasures inside. Even though the collection is relatively small for a national museum, it is quite well curated and engaging. There are artifacts from Greek, Roman and Medieval periods. There are informative, English explanations for...More

The museum is unusual. The ethnographic section was the most interesting with the intricate wood panelled rooms. In the natural museum section, I had to find and turn on the lights myself. The rocks were displayed in lovely old wood cases and on wooden pedestals...More

It was nice to spend an hour or two at this museum, which was founded 130 years ago. There are some beautiful artifacts from all over Bosnia dating to the Roman period and earlier. Several wings were closed to visitors, and most staff either sat...More

The National Museum has a great building with the history of Bosnia. It has a lot of Roman artifacts everything is also explained in English. Also has a Natural History building which also has an awesome gem collection. It is close to public transportation.

Hi, When we were there end of May 2017, we have seen the Hagaddah. It is in a little room apart from the other exhibition items, and we could go in the room.
