My friend and I had to travel from Sarajevo to Jajce in October and the bus timetable wasn't fit. So we arranged a day tour with Sarajevo Discovery and requested not to have a return trip. Before arriving in Jajce, we stopped in Travnik, a sweet little town where we saw Plava Voda (blue spring water), Ivo Andrić's house (a pity that it was closed for renovation) and Suleimania Mosque from outside. We also got cheese from the town (it's a famous local produce).
We requested to see the water mills near Pliva lakes before we visited Jajce. The water mills date back to the Middle Ages. They are worth a visit and the region is tranquil and relaxing. When we finally arrived in Jajce, we saw basically everything - the fortress, catacombs and underground church, the waterfall and the Museum of AVNOJ. I enjoyed the most listening to our guide, Danijela's personal thoughts on the transformation from Yugo-era to the present Bosnia.
As there were only two of us in the tour, we could raise our requests and Danijela tried her best to accommodate them and customise our tour. She was also happy to share with us her personal experience and thoughts related to the country. This personal touch is what you can't get from big groups.
It's worth mentioning that Vili from Sarajevo Discovery went to our meeting point to give us breakfast/lunch in the morning before we left to meet up with Danijela. He also told us that the bridge in Višegrad was under renovation (we were about to book a day tour to Višegrad, too) so as to spare us from possible disappointment. Their tours have very good value for money.

While on a recent business trip, my colleagues and I took a 1/2 day tour of Sarajevo (including a tour of the tunnel) with Mohammed from INSIDE CITY TOURS and EXCURSIONS. What an educational and humbling visit.
Mohammed was extremely knowledgeable. He showed us various sites of Sarajevo. His knowledge and presentation made me reflect on what man has done and what man has not learned. The scenery in Sarajevo is somewhat still amazingly beautiful - after 20 years of civil war. We met a gentleman at the "Tunnel" and he held nothing back, He provided his personal account of his involvement is digging a vital tunnel, the UN's lack of protection and the aftermath of the war. It reminded me of the WWII stories my grandfather shared.
The people are wonderful, The country still has its beauty.
Thank you to Mohammed and the tour. It was great.

We did Times of Misfortune Tour with Discovery/Sarajevocitytours which is a three hour adventure and includes visiting the tunnel museum and a panoramic view of the city. Our tour guide was Milna (sp?) and her commentary had great insight, humor and first hand experience. We were driven around to three separate sites with multiple points of interest pointed out along the way. If you want to learn about how life went on in Sarajevo during the seige, this is the best way to do it!

I signed up for the free walking tour. I realize that it's not really free as I was expecting to leave a good tip. I arrived at the meeting point (City Hall) at least 20 minutes before the meeting time. I kept looking for the guide who would either have a yellow flag or umbrella. I waited until 30 minutes after the meeting time, but nobody showed up. If I had known, I could have done another activity or signed up with a different tour operator rather than wasted my time with this one. I would never recommend this agency to anyone. Shame on Sarajevo Discovery!

This is my second time using Sarajevo Discovery Tours. I had very specialized requests and Dino and Villy were exceptionally accommodating and patient in setting up tours to meet my needs. They were flexible, courteous, considerate, and were able to arrange visits not only in Sarajevo but in Croatia as well. Dino is a tour guide of long standing in Sarajevo and his connections were invaluable. Willy ably navigated the tricky drive to Srebrenica in a dense fog and stopped whenever requested to along the way. Both men have a deep love of the city and it shows in how they present the struggles of the past twenty years to return the city to its pre-war vibrancy. If you are looking for a tour with knowledgeable, experienced, and enthusiastic guides, look no further than Sarajevo Discovery. The new location in the Bazaar is quiet convenient as well.

Dino at Sarajevo Discovery is fantastic. We booked a tour with him to Mostar and he was friendly, flexible, and shared with us many aspects of Bosnian life. Dino happily chatted about many topics not part of the standard tourist patter, so much so that we booked him at the last minute for his "Time of Misfortunes" tour. Dino lived in Sarajevo as a boy during the siege and his tales of that sad period made the tour all the more poignant. Time spent with Dino in Sarajevo greatly enhanced our visit to that lovely city.

Went there and there was young, friendly girl who arranged everything. Guides name was Dino and he was absolutely fabulous! We did city tour and visit to war tunnel. War tunnel is a must. He was knowledgeable, intelligent and friendly. I really think that the best way to discover Sarajevo is with Sarajevo discovery.

I did two different tours with this company during my last stay in Sarajevo.
The guides both spoke beautifully clear English, were passionate about their city and country and helped me to get a much clearer grasp of the social, political, cultural and historic challenges of this interesting region.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the quality of the tour, as I never got to take it. I used their website to book a "tunnel" tour, the day before I wanted to go, but I never got confirmation of the booking. I called them and got a little bit of a run around, and was told to call another number. I called and the man told me to show up an hour early, to see if they would have enough people for the tour. We came an hour and a half early, and the girl said they would not be doing that tour today, but recommended that I use their competition across the street. I'm glad she did. The price was the same at "insider tours", and the tour guide was great. Originally, they already had 3 booked for the tour, but when we asked to go along, they arranged for a bigger vehicle and allowed us to go. By the departure time there were 9 of us going on the tour! One poor fellow had to be turned away as there were only spaces on the van for 8.
I wish Discovery had been more responsive to their online booking site, and responded back. That's the only negative thing I can say about them. The girl at the desk was friendly, and went out of her way to recommend their competition. As all of the other comments seem to be positive, I'm sure the tours are good. Sorry I wasn't able to experience it.

La guida è in italiano? Quali monumenti si vedono con "introduction tours"? Quali monumenti si vedono con "gran city tours"? Quante ore durano i tour? Io sono interessato a visitare Sarajevo in agosto 2016,Grazie by denis

We stayed in the downtown - a block away from the eternal flame. We took taxis to a few places (prices are reasonable - make sure you negotiate your price before taking the taxi). We walked to our tour guides office - approximately 8 blocks. If you take the walk - you'll pass many shops and restaurants. We did not take any shuttle buses - so I can't comment.
