Bascarsija is the most authentic part of the city and it always leaves its visitors satisfied. There are plenty cafes and restaurants around which also present the cultural and historic symbols of old Bosnian tradition. Local shops offer a variety of jewlery and authentic souvenirs.

When anyone visits Sarajevo they will spend most of their time in the old city. There are some sights outside the old city but it mostly happens inside. There are all sorts of things to see, do and buy: jewellery, handbags, clothing, perfume, fabrics, sunglasses...More

Just have a wander through this great area of narrow streets that contain so much joy and history. Many interesting shops selling handmade local crafts.

The old town is fascinating & offers great little cafes/restaurants serving up tasty local sweets & traditional food - burek/cevapi. Great photo opportunities!

This is a free attraction but draws the crowds. There is nothing to do other than look at it. You can feed the hundreds of pigeons that roost there as well

This is the historical meeting point Chinese and Arabs have met to exchange goods over many centuries. It certainly dates back a long way but thanks to invasions and natural disasters most of it now dates from the 1800's. Nonetheless it is still in the...More

Nice, but not very interesting. All of the stores basically sell the same things and the buildings themselves are not spectacular. I was kind of disappointed.
