Merima was totally engaging throughout the tour. She offered history along with her personal experiences as a child during the siege. The places we visited on the tour afforded us the opportunity to better understand Bosnia's recent tough history and the amazing resiliency of its people. As I look back upon those years, I feel guilty for not remembering much... More

Neno, our guide, was amazing. Before start walking he told us in a quick way the whole story of the city. The tour was full of history, combined with personal memories of our guide, who lived as a child the war times. He gave us at the end a map with places to eat traditional food. Highly recommended to everyone!

After arriving in Sarajevo & taking a walk through the old town area I wanted to understand more of the history, not just current history, of the city. Neno gave us an excellent summary of the city's history incorporating many of his experiences living here. He kept the group together, spent time ensuring we understood & answered all our questions... More

Our son recommended Neno when he was in Sarajevo a few years ago, so we didn't look at any others. Our guide, Merima, was terrific. We had a large group, but we all heard everything and everyone had the opportunity to ask questions or chat with Merima. She lived as a child in Sarajevo throughout the siege, so we had... More

I arrived in Sarajevo to know more about the recent history of the city, so I decided to take part in Neno and friends free walking tour. I enjoyed it very much because Merima (the guide) has lived the war and added some personal stories to the tour, making it really interesting, but always in a smiley way, not complaining... More

Took the tour with a woman in her thirties who experienced the siege of Sarajevo and is a proud resident of her city and country -- easily the best free city tour I've ever taken. The guide had just the right of mix of humor, anecdotes, and history -- all with excellent pacing. The two hours flew by. Big group... More

It was impressive the way Neno tells about the scar of Sarajevo during showing the highlights. During the Balkan war he lived in a basement in Sarajevo and knows what surviving means.

Neno showed us around Sarajevo combining anecdotal stories about local life with a plethera of interesting facts about the history of Sarajevo and the region in general. He also answered my questions on Yugoslavia, religion and more.

Great guided tour, our guide was excellent, she told us about the war times when she was a little girl but also gave us a 2,5 hours tour of an alternative Sarajevo taking us to so many places I didn't even know they existed. Without this tour Sarajevo would only be a very pretty city, with the tour becomes a... More

Neno was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide! He took us on a 2.5 hr walking tour around the city offering interesting brief historical snippets alongside personal experience. Definitely one of the best walking tours we've attended in Europe. Not to be missed!!
