The parliament buildings are located across the street from the Sarajevo City Center shopping mall. Large government buildings that not only operate today, but we’re also the focal point of the first days of the war in 1992. There is a large courtyard to the front which is open to the public.

Although designed already in 1950s by Le Corbusier's pupil, architect prof. Juraj Neidhardt, the construction of BiH Parliament Building did not begin until 1978. The designer added also a government skyscraper, which is linked with the main building. Due to prof. Neidhardt's illness, the construction was continued by architect Hamdija Salihovic.

Both buildings have been heavily damaged during the Bosnian war for independence and Serbian aggression 1992-95, both buildings have been heavily damaged and afterwards reconstructed with the foreign aid.

The BiH Parliament Builing consists of 2 towers and houses both chambers of the parliament, The House of Representatives and the House of Peoples. Unfortunately it is not possible to enter the building and see inside. That said, it's an impressive building and worth a brief stop for a photograph.

The set of government buildings in Bosnia and Herzegovina is impressive. The low-rise building is that of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the tower is the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They form an elegant and modern set. I didn't visit the interior, although it was possible to visit some spaces in the Parliamentary Assembly building. You can find this information on the Parliamentary Assembly website.
