    Wonderful day touring with Mustafa
We did not take the cooking class, but we spent an excellent day touring with Mustafa. We visited various Olympic sights, the Tunnel of Hope, and Tito’s Bunker. We really appreciated him sharing his own personal and family’s harrowing experiences during the Siege. We spent the day talking politics, learning about his life, and he patiently and freely answered all of our questions. He is a gifted tour guide and truly a lovely human being (as well as a safe driver)! If you are interested in more than cooking lessons, please ask him about his availability to guide you around his beautiful country!

    Don’t miss this class!
This class was exceptionally fun and interesting. Our welcome was warm and genuine. The recipes were well chosen, satisfying to prepare and delicious to eat! Mersiha is an intuitive cook who clearly wanted us to learn and experience Bosnian culture at its best. I was impressed by her resourcefulness, wasting nothing but making dishes I can replicate at home. We were lucky enough to spend the following day with her husband, Mustafa, who took us to see Tito’s Bunker, 1984 Olympian sites and told us his very moving personal story at the Tunnel of Hope from the 1991-1995 war with Serbia. They are a wonderfully kind and interesting couple. You will be glad to meet them and learn from them.

Everyone should meet and cook with Mersiha!
We are a family of 5, with three teenage daughters. Obviously as every teenager my daughters were not really excited at a prospect of a cooking lesson ( I do drag them to cooking lessons abroad a lot because im a chef) but Mersiha and Mustafa were the most friendly and warm people and they made the afternoon just perfect! Girls loved the food we prepared, they were treated to the home made apple juice and berry juice from Mersiha’s garden! Most of the produce was from their garden as well! I could not recommend the experience enough! Thank you both for your hospitality and warm welcome as well as delicious food! Next time we will do a private tour with Mustafa! There is so much to see there! Wishing you all the best! Katarina, Simon, Lola, Nadia and Vicky xxx

Mersiha's class was great. We learned so much, had a great time, and really enjoyed both Mersiha and Mustafa's company during the breaks. It was more than just a cooking class: we felt welcomed into a warm home, we learned more about Bosnian history and culture, and we enjoyed great food from our class. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!

Mersiha is a fantastic cook and now I sort of am, too. :) We made two dishes: Burek, one of the two national dishes that's a stuffed meat or vegetable pie in filo dough, and stuffed vegetables roasted in tomato sauce. We made the filo dough from scratch. It started out as a little ball and ended up as a super thin sheet of dough that she stretched over all 4 corners of the table, with lots of tips and tricks for getting it that thin without poking a finger through the dough and how to not panic if you do make a hole. I'd had both of these dishes in several restaurants in Sarajevo, but Mersiha's (and mine) were so much better than anything I'd previously tasted that they kind of redefined them for me. Mersiha and Mustafa are sweet and interesting people who grow all of their own produce. Sharing time with them in their home and kitchen felt like being with good friends. I highly recommend this class!

I really enjoyed the evening I spent cooking with Mersiha in her kitchen. She was extremely welcoming to us and we were able to relax, cook and enjoy great food and wines. I thought the whole night was very well organized with time to cook and learn but also time for everyone to enjoy themselves, drink and chat ☺ I should also mention the view from her home is incredible!! This is a unique experience in Bosnia you will not regret doing!!

If you want to do something unique and get to connect with the locals in Bosnia, sign-up for this class! The host was incredibly generous in welcoming our group into her home to teach us these special traditional recipes. The location is stunning with a panoramic view of Sarajevo out the back door as well as a view of her beautiful garden from which many of the ingredients for the cooking class are harvested.
The atmosphere is fun and relaxed, yet Mersi does an excellent job instructing and demonstrating her methods in a clear, concise way. She makes these intimidating recipes seem really accessible. Of course, the food is incredibly fresh, tasty and delicious! I cannot wait to try my new skills at home and impress all my friends. Thank you for a truly memorable experience, hope I can return again some day!

I do not know where to start my ravings about Mersiha and Mustafa. The burek and stuffed vegetables we made were delicious as well as the homemade appetizers, salad and delicious dessert. I finally learned how to make the incredible dough used in the burek and can’t wait to try it at home. But that is just a small, but important, part of why I loved it. Mersiha and Mustafa are very special. They opened their house and hearts to us telling us about their life in Sarajevo. If you want to learn about food and life this special city, then be sure to lay them a visit

This was one of the absolute highlights of my trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mersiha and Mustafa are wonderful people, and so welcoming. They made me feel completely at ease in their beautiful home right away. The cooking lesson was great fun. I was so proud of myself for not messing up the pastry for the burek! By the time I left, feeling extremely well-fed, I also felt like I'd spent a great evening with friends. Everything was great - the lesson itself, the food, the company. And the view from their home is spectacular. Highly, highly recommend their cooking lessons. I hope to come back and bring friends next time!

I had a lovely time learning to make DELICIOUS food. Mersiha and her husband are genuinely kind and warm-hearted people who are also good conversationalists. The evening went by very quickly! I recommend this experience :)
