In about two hours, this walking tour of downtown (old town) Minsk provides a nice overview of the history and culture of the city. Alexandra is a very capable, knowledgeable guide who's happy to answer questions and give recommendations on local bars/restaurants/places of interest to visit. A very enjoyable and informative experience, with a friendly and accommodating guide -- большое спасибо!

We were in Minsk and sent a Whatsapp message to this tour operater asking if they could take us on a free walking tour (it's covid times so such things are a bit uncertain). They responded affirmatively and within hours we met our guide, Tanya, who led us through town. She spoke excellent English, and taught us a ton about Belarus culture and history. She also gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat in town. It was the best thing we did during our trip to Minsk, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting!

We were guided by Svietlana, it was two hours tour around Old Town, we got to know a lot from our guide, things that you cannot find in a guide book. You can freely ask any question, she was happy to answer and one could easily see she enjoyed her work. Unfortunately we didnt have time to join the Soviet tour which seemed to be interesting as well.

My wife and I just completed our walking tour of Minsk with Bahdan and had a great time, despite the cold wind. We have been on several walking tours throughout Europe and our experience with Bahdan today was great. He interacted with the group during out walk between each point of interest and was very knowledgeable on the history and even answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Minsk.

I did three tours in two days in Minsk: the Free Tour, the Alternative Tour (also free) and the Soviet Tour.
The guides were very well informed and imparted information in a very interesting and professional way. The tours were extensive and covered a lot of ground, so I was left with the feeling that I saw a large part of the city.
Highly recommended tours.

Arriving in Belarus for the first time, I was not sure what to expect. But the three tours I took with this company made Belarus my favorite destination of my four-country vacation.
I took 3 tours with this company: the wonderful all day tour to the castle towns of Mir and Nezhviz, the Free Walking tour as well as the Soviet Tour. the company was amazingly professional and responsive for one: I arrived late on a Thursday night but even at 21:00 they were answering my emails and arranged for the wonderful guide to walk over to my Air B&B to find me as I wasn't sure of the directions in this yet unfamiliar city. What a warm welcome that was.
All three tours were so personal and warm that I fell in love with the place. Tour guide Bagdan was the best of the best: he knew the answer to every question and made all the tours not only informative, but also quite fun and joyful. I had a blast on these tours. On other tours I think at the end 'I'm glad this is over'. But with Bagdan it was very sad to say goodbye at the end of the day.
I would highly recommend contacting this company if your visiting Belarus for the first time. They will make you feel at home in a strange city and you will get to know the country in a personal and fascinating way.

We arrived on Friday night and booked this tour for the Saturday morning and it was the right decision to do this first.
It gave a great perspective of where things are in Minsk.
The Guide was wonderful, knowledgeable and interesting. There were conversations not just a droll of a this is x and that is x.
Although it's 'free' we gave a 'donation' of 10 euros each because it was worth it.

I went on several different tours in Minsk (city x 2, alternative and Soviet), with different guides (Tanya, Dasha and Bahdan x 2) and differing styles, but I had the same educational experience each time. I learned much about modern Minsk and contemporary Belarus, plus its traditions and history, much of it joyful, some of it very sad. The alternative tour with Bahdan was perfectly wacky and fun! Overall, the walks offered the right amount of detail to keep my interest, without an overload of facts and figures which can be hard to take in and digest. All the more engaging since the personable guides spoke in very competent English which helped maintain my focus. A special thanks to Tanya who subsequently guided me on a shopping expedition for new clothes after the wretched airline mislaid my suitcase for a few days.

If you like military history, and want to get out of the city to see the surrounds from a unique point of view, this is definitely a place to go. On large grounds there are, in addition to the remnants of the "line" of fortifications and "pillboxes" designed to thwart an invasion of Belarus by Poland (unlikely though that might have been--it was of course the Germans who invaded, breaking through the line, but halted enough as to be fatally delayed), a truly impressive array of Soviet tanks, missiles, and armaments. The management is super friendly!

Добрый вечер ! Экскурсии только на английском языке?
Written December 13, 2019
Are these tours in English? Where does the tour begin, and at what times?
How much is the expected tip to the guide?
Written September 11, 2019
Hello.. !! Yes! the team speaks a very good English, most tours start in the Town Hall, in front of the tower there's a statue, you won't miss it. Only the alternative started in another square, Jakub Kolas. Starting time depends on the tour, in the morning at 11am or in the afternoon at 3pm. I usually tip between 10-20 euros but it's up to you..

Quero apenas fazer um elogio ao transferista que nos atendeu em Minsk em setembro deste ano. Fiz outros tours, esse tour soviético não. Onde faço o elogio?

When I did this walk we met outside the City Hall at 11am. But this may be different now so it is worth checking. Hope that helps.
