We spent 8 amazing days touring Albania with Genti Proseku and it was Albanian hospitality at its best. Genti made this journey so much more than a trip; he immersed us in authentic, wonderful Albanian experiences.....

He was tireless in ensuring he provide the best possible experience of his country; whether exploring Albanias' incredible natural beauty (waterfalls, canyons, caves), being captivated by the fascinating archaeological sites and rich history, or savoring exquisite meals of fresh local ingredients, Genti’s attentive and enthusiastic manner was endless.

I arrived in Albania knowing nothing of the country; I left 8 days later with a love of its people, its culture, its food, its beauty. By sharing his personal experiences of growing up in Albania, his vast knowledge of its history, his love for the outdoors and his ability to find the absolute BEST fresh food, Genti provided an amazing, welcoming, and inspiring Albania experience.

We travel frequently but have seldom met anyone I would recommend this highly. Genti is an amazing guide who enabled so many cherished memories of our Albania journey.

If you’re traveling to Albania I highly recommend TAB….. (and especially Genti!)

Dear Albania Tours

Thank you again for all your care and for enabling us to see Albania and learning so much about your land and culture. Here is a review I promised that you can share with potential customers if you like:

We travelled with Nikolla and Albanian Tours for 11 days across Albania and can only highly recommend them as a travel guide: They are very good and careful driver, extremely knowledgeable about Albanian (and European!) history and know every background story to every monument we saw, every region we travelled to, and all the historic sights we enjoyed.

In particular, our driver’s warm and kind manner and good sense of humour make him a very pleasant travel partner. He really cares about your well-being and respects your privacy. He will go out of his way to ensure that you see the best side of Albania.

In sum, we can only highly recommend Albanian Tours as your guide and travel partner for your next trip to Albania or any other Balkan region. Thank you again.

Just returned from a two week tour of the Balkans with Tours Albania & Balkans and everything was wonderful. The two guides we had were extremely professional, friendly and well prepared. The tour was tailored to our requirements and we had a great time. Many thanks to everyone involved in the planning and for taking care of us.

We just had our 3-day customized tour from Tours Albania & Balkans and it was awesome. The rate was super worth it. The places we went to (Bovilla Lake, Pellumbas Cave, Shengergji Waterfall, Vlora, Llagora Natinal Park, etc.) were superb, breath-taking. A very laid back trip, just what we need need for a short Christmas holiday.

Our tour guides, Jimmy & Bjordi were very kind and accommodating! Very patient during the hike. They brought us to good quality restaurants and we had the best meals during the trip.

Two thumbs up for the team. Highly recommended and we’re looking forward to doing the Balkans tour soon! :)

Grateful for this team and the responsiveness they provided as we met challenges along the way throughout Albania. The always answered our calls to help. Easy to book with and trustworthy. Car needed brake lights and we didn't get a welcome drink, but all was wonderful and the itinerary was excellent. We had a great time.

We went on a group of friends for a lovely 8 day trip to Albania. The trip was exceptionally organized. All the trips combined challenging roads in the mountains, visiting villages, towns and mountains, accommodations, the sites we visited and the guidance were great. It is highly recommended to travel with the company!

Four of us, all retired Airline Employees, went on a one week tour of Albania with TAB, Tours Albania and Balkans, from 28 June to 4 July 2017. From start to finish it was perfect. The tour was set up by Jimmy, and our guide/driver was Elio. I can't say enough about the professionalism and knowledge of Elio, and in addition, his driving was impeccable. Some of the cities visited were Saranda, where the tour began, Llogora National Park, Berat, Kruja, Tirana, Gjirokaster and a few others. The hotels that were included in the tour couldn't have been nicer.

The country is beautiful, the Albanians are as friendly as can be, and the food and drink prices are unbelievably cheap. Rarely did we spend more than 10€ for dinner or .40€ for a double ice cream cone, a daily occurrence. I'm back in Paris one kilo heavier.

I would suggest that you visit sooner rather than later, as Albania is in the process of being discovered. The crew from TAB will take good care of you.

Tours Albania arranged our 8 day tour with Driver Nafez & guide Nico.
Manager Jimmy Lamas arranged for the four in our family ( 2 seniors) to do their 8 day tour and were happy to alter itinerary for us.
Always received prompt answers to our email queries.
Our driver and guide were excellent , we could not ask for more . Our itinerary was excellent and were we younger we could have fitted more sights into our days.
We are thinking of using Tour Albania again this year by travelling further north to Lake Ohrid.

I've had the pleasure of touring Albania, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Kosovo two Summers, back-to-back with Tours-Albania and Jimmy Lama. Jimmy met me at my hotel in Tirana and introduced me to Albania on my first visit. On my first visit we drove up mountain roads to the old town of Kruje. We explored the open air bazaar, visited a castle/museum of Albanian antiquity, and enjoyed magnificent views of Tirana and the surrounding countryside. After a delicious lunch, we proceeded to the Adriatic Seacoast city of Durres, visiting an ancient amphitheater and the beautiful beach at Durres. Later, Jimmy took me to a sky tower restaurant overlooking Tirana for an unbeatable view of the city. We also walked through the entertainment district, Blloku, Skanderbeg Square with monuments and statues, and we saw the residence on Enver Hoxha, the longtime Communist era ruler of Albania.

The next day, we headed south through the beautiful, hilly olive groves of central and southern Albania to the magnificent old city of Berat. We toured the Ottoman castle and grounds with beautiful hill top views of Berat. We walked along steep old streets, even munching grapes from vines that grew over our heads. Jimmy enriched my visit with his knowledge of the history, traditions, and legends of the places we visited. He also knows the best, the most reasonably priced cafes and restaurants for a delicious, traditional Albanian meal. Albanian cuisine is a marvelous, reflecting Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences.

Last August, Jimmy and I toured three nations that border Albania: Macedonia, Montenegro, and Kosovo. Our visit to Ohrid, Macedonia, included a lakeside lunch of seafood, a tour of a centuries old fortress, and stops at Orthodox churches and galleries of well-preserved icons. Jimmy's superb driving skills were put to use over the twisting mountain roads between Albania and Macedonia. The next day, Jimmy's signature black Mercedes hugged the coastal road leading from Tirana to Budva, Montenegro. You can't imagine a more beautiful location for lunch and walks than the reconstructed old city and the castle atop a hill. Next stop: Prizren, Kosovo. Jimmy and I climbed a steep hill leading to the remains of an Ottoman castle for a wonderful view and to take photos. We walked along the old streets, enjoying the charm and unique culture of Kosovo. The Kosovars, by the way, are strongly pro-American and grateful to the NATO forces that ended a brutal conflict in Kosovo in 1999.

The Albanians, you may have read in travel guides, are excellent hosts. The rest of the world could take lessons in hospitality from them! And Jimmy should be Albania's ambassador to the world. Wait, then he couldn't show tourists how special Albania is. Jimmy is a full service tour guide. He meets travelers from all over and, in case your Albanian (like mine) is limited, Jimmy interprets in fluent English. Jimmy plans for coffee breaks and pauses along the way, and he reserves time for you to sample fruits sold by roadside vendors, to visit attractions, and even to make side trips. Jimmy detoured from the main route once so I could see a small town that is special to a friend of mine. And if this is not enough, Jimmy has even risen in the wee hours of the morning to take me from my hotel to the Tirana Airport. Tours-Albania is where to begin your Albanian adventure.

We used Jimmy Lama of Tours Albania to help us design a customised nine day tour of Albania, and we can only praise his services: he always answered our queries promptly and was open to our own wishes and suggestions. The hotels booked by him were all excellent and in good locations. Our driver/guide Adi was everything we wanted from a guide. He knew every corner of the country and, once he knew what we liked, made lots of suggestions to add to our enjoyment. I can thoroughly recommend this company.
