We truly enjoyed wondering around this quaint little buzzing street. There was so many cute little shops, and some nice artworks around. Really nice place to just chill and people watch.

I walked down this pedestrian walkway during the week they were celebrating and event, I am not sure what it was or just can't remember but children were dressed it Albanian wear on both sides of the street and there were miniature flags and decorations hanging overhead on the street. It ended with a trek through a partially open air market surrounded by walls. I love this area it offer restaurants, shopping and even a public washroom. The trees on both sides of the street lend to a coolnenviroent. It is perfect for chilling with a drink and enjoy the ambiance.

Here is the street where you can find the old roots of Tirana Castle. Inside this street you can enjoy a meal, have a dessert, drink a beer or coffee. You can visit some nice shops with handmade things

Perhaps my expectations werent too high, but we found Tirana to be a great city to visit. Very pleasant to walk/wander around. Murat Toptani is a great example - pedestrian only, adjacent to the large Skanderbeg square. Some nice cafes and restaurants.
You can easily spend 2 or 3 days in Tirana exploring. Great spot!

I've been disappointed by pedestrian streets in the past so I didn't seek out Rruga Murat Toptani but I stumbled across it while taking selfies at the Cloud Pavilion outside the National Art Gallery and was charmed by its ambiance and delighted when a stroll down the street led me to the Fortress of Justinian (Tirana Castle) where I bought made-in-Albania chocolates and the Toptani Shopping Center where I bought supplies for a picnic at the CONAD supermarket.

It is worth leaving the main avenue between Skanderbeg Square and Mother Teresa Square to walk up and down this pedestrianised and shaded thoroughfare. It starts between the National Art Gallery and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and if you follow it all the way to the end, you will get to the Tanners Bridge. It passed through what is left of the old nucleus of Tirana which is not much more than the bridge and the wall of the castle. There are a number of other sights shown on maps along the route, and also numerous pleasant bars and restaurants along the route.

This is an interesting pedestrian street tucked behind the large Catholic Church and the parliament building. You can see a small section of the e old fortress walls. Most impressive are the musical notes, treble clef and lines representing the stave in musical notation. The notes are incorporated into small seats.. Very inven
