There are a few cafes and restaurants situated within the fortress now and it is a cool place to stop by in the evenings to grab a bite or a drink. Nice vibe here.

Important historical site of the Illyrian (Albanian) emperor Justinian along with great food and shops at Toptani center and the walkway.

Good food and ambiance. There are a lot of good souvenirs to get here as well. The castle is also a historical site which most people overlook if they are not in the area to learn about the country.

Tirana Castle, also known as Fortress of Justinian is nothing special. Mostly filled with cafes; sure, a good place to get something to eat; but, the city is filled with places to eat.

Known also as Tirana Castle, all that is left are some walls, behind which has been built a new pedestrian shopping area, with souvenir shops and cafés, and there is a small area in which the foundation stones are visible. It is located opposite the Toptani Shopping Centre and near the parliament building. There is a small information board at the sight, but to be honest, it's not worth going out of your way to visit. The new pedestrian shopping street is nice.

We passed this wall during our walking tour of Tirana. It is just a short remaining wall of the past.
Located near it is a hotel, some shops and restaurants.

Unfortunately this 6th century fortress has not resisted to the tide of time. However there is a small piece of it left which i`m sure would be of interest to history lovers. It is right in the center of Tirana in beside the parliament building and Toptani shopping center.

There is a sign next to it of Hotel Kalaja. If you are not looking for it you can easily miss it. Its right on a walking street with ancient foundation ruins outside the walls. Could be well developed but I guess for Tirana its good enough.

You can stay at the hotel or just visit and take a look around. It's right off the walking street and isn't well-signed, but if you're on the walking street you can't miss it.
