The different look of the statue reflects the varied role he played in the early 20th century history of Albania. Among his fields of endeavour were those of a writer, a diplomat, a politician, a scholar, an historian and founder of the Albanian Orthodox Church. If you travel the country, he has streets named after him, even a university in Korce.

Fan Noli was an Albanian writer, scholar, diplomat, politician, historian, orator and founder of the Orthodox Church of Albania, who served as Prime Minister and regent of Albania in 1924 during the June Revolution. He earned multiple degrees at Harvard and acquired his Ph, D. at Boston University. It's great that Albania honors him with a statue.

I had to search on TripAdvisor about this statue, as once we were there, there was zero info on who that dude was!? Just very strange, and wished they did more with it.

Tirana is full of statues which has no information boards to inform the passing tourist as to what they are or their relationship to Albania's political or cultural history. The Fan Noli statue is one example of this. I came upon by accident and did not even bother to take a photograph.

We passed by a garden during our Walking Tour. There are several statues on display at this garden, one of which is this statue.
It caught my attention due to its unique shape, however no information is available regarding it.
Tip: it is located near the President's house and the big mosque currently under construction.

I Wonder what this statue was for I could not find any info there. Its not alle thing that You should understand say a friend of me that are working with art. When I saw this I was thinking this I could make myself but after thinking a little more. No I could not make it like this because I have 10 thumbs and have never had talent for this. After googling then I know more about Fan Noli and here are the info : Theofan Stilian Noli, known as Fan Noli (6 January 1882 – 13 March 1965) was an Albanian writer, scholar, diplomat, politician, historian, orator and founder of the Orthodox Church of Albania, who served as Prime Minister and regent of Albania in 1924 during the June Revolution. Then we know that for the future.

Like so many other monuments in Tirana, this one has no information plaque. Not even a name. I wonder if the Albanians know who this is...

This statue is the typical statue you walk along and have a brief look because it looks a bit weird and you don't have any explanations on it.
When you have some details, that for example, a simple detail...He is a modern Albania hero!!! It's getting more interesting to think about it.

Nice statue of an important, historic, Albanian hero. Needs a plaque to explain who he was and his importance to modern Albania. Worth a look and a short stop.

Statues like this make you curious so that you lern more about a country's history. That being said, I do not understand why it is a special entry on TripAdvisor. Many more similar statues in Tirana.
