We just returned from a wonderful 11-day trip with Albania Travelnet. We booked the Grand Tour of Albania, but added a day to visit Thethi. It was one of the most memorable of the vacation, so was a good add. Enea is the owner and handled all of our questions and all the planning. We had two excellent guides: Eni and Vaso. Eni handled the first half of the trip and Vaso was with us the second half. Both were terrific. After taking this trip, I was very, very glad we had a guide to do all the driving. Driving in Albania would be hair-raising, but I was very comfortable with Eni and Vaso. Do not hesitate to book with this company. They are real pros.

We were 4 adventurous couples that had no idea of what to do do in Albania and Macedonia. Enea Kumi was fantastic in suggesting on where to go, stay and dine. All hotels were outstanding and his suggestions for local sightseeing and dining were spot on. His personal knowledge and experiences added to the enjoyment and his command of the English language enhanced our visits. He became more of a friend than a tour guide and catered to our every need. Our 15 person bus was just right for the 8 of us plus luggage, guide and driver and Enea's ability to improvise proved to make our trip more pleasurable. These countries are off the normal tourist agenda which made every day an adventure and Enea taking us to dine as the locals were an eye opening experience. Don't miss the Hunter's Lodge restaurant in Skopje. 10 days not enough time to enjoy both countries. Bring casual clothes, jeans and walking shoes and take time to get on the water at Lake Ohrid and Matka CAnyon and be sure to stay at Popva Hotel and Winery. If you enjoy wine you will fall in love with Macedonia wine and even more so the price.

We do not often travel with a guide in our trips but due to the lack of guide books and language difficulties we decided to find one for our trip to Albania. We found Albania Travelnet and our guide Enea Kumi through recommendations on this site and we chose him based on the itinerary, price, and reviews. We were extremely pleased with our experience. Throughout the week, Enea was responsive to our interests and even helped us with our luggage. We were pleased with our accommodations; the hotels and guest houses were comfortable and gave us a taste of traditional Albanian guest houses and inns. Also, when we encountered the chaotic traffic in the cities and highways we found Enea’s skill as a driver was an asset. We knew very little about Albania before our trip, but by the time it was over, Enea had provided a great overview of his country’s history, art, culture, economy, and geography. He was an able interpreter of the sights we saw – much more interesting than reading the signage in museums or at historic venues. We learned that he also works as an instructor in a school that trains national tour guides in Albania. Everywhere we went, he encountered former students, who greeted him warmly. In addition to his professional abilities, his English language skills are excellent, and he has a quick wit and a good sense of humor. We highly recommend Albania Travelnet and Enea Kumi

Albania is a fascinating place to visit for the experienced traveler... if you have not done much travel before you might want to start with a more conventional destination. If you have done a lot of travel previously, this area will give you a new perspective and allow you to see an area that is not overly touristed. We were looking forward to our trip to Albania, Kosovo, and Macedonia and were not disappointed. Enea is an excellent guide, and extremely knowledgeable about this complicated part of the world. Much of the history of this area is tied up in the relationships between Orthodox Christianity, Catholicism, and Islam (as well as older civilizations), and he was well-versed in all of them, as well as other historical subjects. Accommodations ranged from very good to excellent, and in all cases, the hotels/guesthouses were in excellent locations for exploring on our own in the evenings. Included breakfasts were very good, but some of the other meals ranged from excellent to average-- I think that the culinary scene in this part of the world is still evolving. Portions tend to be very large; it is my understanding that this reflects the culture of hospitality towards guests. It was crucial to us to have a driver, as otherwise we would not have seen as many places in our two week trip as we did, and we were shown places we would never have found on our own. Enea is an excellent and careful driver and the vehicle was clean and comfortable. If you want to visit this part of the world, I would highly recommend Albania Travelnet.

I travelled with Albania Travelnet on the 12 day Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia tour in October 2018. I did so on a recommendation from a traveller who had travelled twice with them before and loved it. It was an outstanding tour. From the outset Enea Kumi was easy to deal with, answering my emails promptly and professionally and generally following through on things he promised. We stayed in good quality hotels, charming and well located. Enea is a careful and experienced driver and we had a comfortable air conditioned vehicle to get around in. Many of the places we visited were UNESCO listed. Including the towns Gjirokastra and Berat in Albania and the ancient archaeological sites Apollonia and Butrint in Albania. We also visited Lake Ohrid and a personal highlight, the exquisite Decani monastery in Kosovo. Enea is very knowledgeable about all three countries and Albania in particular. He tailored information to areas myself and my fellow travellers were interested in. Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia are intriguing countries and well worth visiting. The locals are friendly and kind. Travelling as a solo female I felt safe travelling in all three countries and in Albania in particular. It was an educational, interesting and enlightening trip.
