I did several tours with Ban Bé Non in São Tomé and it was a great experience. The guide Flávio was always reliable and very helpful, especially with adapting the tours to individual preferences. Thank you!

They go the extra mile

I did 5 Tours with these amazing guys.
They were absolutely punctual, easy to talk to and they go the extra mile to make your stay in São Tomé a good one.
Communication was very easy before the trip as well ( thank you Anisha and Luís Alfonso) !
Helped me with my test to go back to Germany as well… what else can you wish from a perfect host!
100% recommended!

Very good company.Very good, responsible guides. I took 3 tours with them, South,Centre and North. Sao Tome is beautifull and People very kind and friendly. I have taken many beautifull photos. Highly recommended to visit this nice country. And I recommend Ban Be Nan Tours. Antoni from Sweden

Poor customer service and safety concerns

Based on the very positive reviews online, we decided to choose this agency to do the equator tour which came at a price higher than other agencies (96€ per person without lunch vs others offering around 80€ including lunch!)(see photo detailing the tour). The tour was nice overall but 2 issues came up. Firstly, the car provided did not have seatbelts for passengers at the back so safety was not ensured. Secondly, we were not informed that Praia bateria was on demand only. The person in charge called Luiz did not recognize this is a miscommunication and did not even offer a commercial gesture. I tried to push for a 15€ discount per person which was rejected (with the comment that if we do that then we should keep all our money) and then I decided to pay the full amount as I did not want to penalize the guide who had done a good job. Overall, this was a big disappointment and we will therefore not book any other tours with this agency. Indeed, we want to book safe tours (a seat belt for each passenger is a basic safety requirement) and pay for what is advertised and communicated. We hope that this review will be helpful to others who, like us, are looking to pay for a safe service that comes with no hidden surprises.

We inform our valued customers about what includes and does not include in our services before customers make the purchase. Surely, you already knew our prices and details of the services. If you notice, fortunately you are the only customer who has complained so far. This proves that there certainly was a misunderstanding. Therefore, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your evaluation. As a company, we are always open to new challenges and are always concerned with improving and personalizing our services. We had all three tours that Ban Be Non Tours offered, and it was a great experience to
discover the lovely Island of Sao Tome , Every thing was as promised, the Guide spoke
good english as promised , and showed us and explained a lot about the island, so if you are going to Sao Tome we can highly reccomend that you use Ban Be Non tours,
they are great .

Our guide was Fernando and we became good friends with him. We had him for 4 tours and it was an amazing time. Excellent, professional and very knowledgeable of his country and ours too (Gabon), he really made us feel at home and showed us nice spots in the city to truly enjoy the local experience

Great time birdwatching ++

We were recently on a cruise with stop in Sao Tome, and Angela recommended Ban Be Non - Flavio immediately responded to our request for a tour for 4 with a focus on birding yet include areas of interest on the island. We had an english speaking driver all day - who pointed out various places of interest. When we got to the forest park we picked up a birding guide, an excellent spotter with a good book - so although we didn't share a language, he was able to quickly ID the birds. The scenery is gorgeous, and we also had a brief tour of town, the market, etc.
